And it's neither a Ranger nor a Monster.
Yes, Bulk and Skull.
They're the only Civilians in the whole line and by far the greatest figures in the line. Bandai never gave us a Bulk and Skull. Hasbro never gave us a Bulk and Skull. Only Super7 Dared to give us Bulk and Skull and like McDonald's, I'm lovin' it!
The figures are based on the Bully era of Bulk and Skull.
Articulation:
Bulk is built different, because obvious reasons... He's fat.
Skull while having new parts, his articulation is engineered in a similar manner to the Rangers, but no bicep swivel. After the red ranger breaking on the waist I dare not move these figures' waists for fear of breakage. Or in Bulk's case the under moob articulation. Now the main issue lies that they can't be posed using their pseudo morphers.
Bulk: 3.5
Skull: 3.0
Paint and sculpt
Super7 is not known for realistic sculpts. These stylized sculpts look good enough. Sadly, my Bulk has some paint shipping off his left boot.
Bulk: 4.5
Skull: 5.0
Accessories
Both figures have:
4 extra hands
Pseudo morpher
Alt head
Sunglasses
Bulk specific accessory is binoculars
Skull specific accessory is videocamera
Honestly, I would've preferred an extra head without any hats and some more extra hands.
Also, they can use NONE of their accessories aside the glasses.
Bulk: 5.0
Skull: 5.0
(Scores are for the amount, not useability)
Overall:
Bulk gets a 4.33 while Skull gets a 4.33 and wait... Yes, they're flawed, but I won't have then AS Bulk and Skull. They're going to be... sonofabitch! Skull looks like a young Vernon Fenwick! Wonder if Skull's head would fit on the Beastie Boys body... in case we never get an official Vernon. (It doesn't).Also, if Bulk and Skull get discounted, I might get extras for Customs.
(Biblically Accurate Nefty might be a start)
Also, all signs point out that this line is dead.
