Season 3 was a bombshell! We started with the aftermath of Season 2 with Miguel comatose, Johnny being a mess (what else is new), and Danny LaDoucheo is feeling the effects of his rivalry with Johnny. Kreese is lapping up all the chaos and going full Palpatine.
Characters come to the Light as others fall to the Dark. We get to see what turned Kreese into the monster he is. Despite the series attempts at humanizing Kreese, the series makes you either feel some sympathy for him, or hate him even more... (I'm on the second camp.)
Daniel ends up traveling to Okinawa and we get a Karate Kid Part II nod, that to be honest, it felt a little forced. It WAS GOOD, but it didn't feel that organic. Chozen was awesome, though... We even got an episode with
And having Daniel with an L and Johnny face the fact that they were both assholes in High School helped tie up some old loose ends.
The season ends with a climax and it looks like Season 4 might be a Karate Kid Part III reunion, because Kreese called someone at the end of the season. Also, we had 'Nam flashbacks with a much younger Terry Silver. It makes sense that Kreese would call Silver for help. Others think it's Mike Barnes, who was shown in some Flashbacks. In any case, Karate Kid Part III is coming with ANOTHER TOURNAMENT...
