But without Steven Seagal. Instead you get the guy from Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad... in a role that is practically 73% of Steven Seagal's roles. Former super duper special forces guy who is forced to kick ass when bad guys come a knocking... Well, Bob Odenkirk plays Hutch Mansell, a normal guy leading a boring life... but he's not a normal guy. He's a Steven Seagal character, who is snapped back into kill-mode after a home invasion goes wrong. He ends up in a bus where a group of Russian mobsters begin harassing a girl. This puts Hutch in Seagal mode and he kicks some asses. This causes the Bad guy, a Russian mobster to want revenge.
Did I mention that Christopher Lloyd is in this? Because I didn't I knew that when I saw it and my jaw dropped when I saw Christopher Lloyd. He is in his 80s now and my brain couldn't accept it but despite mr. Lloyd being super close to 100 birthdays oh, he was the highlight of the movie. Every time he showed up on screen he brought a smile to my face. The third Act was a bit like an adult version of Home Alone.
The movie is not a masterpiece or a game changer. It's simply it's a good old action movie with a Sprinkle of humor and tons of excessive violence. As a Mindless popcorn flick I recommend it.
