Advent calendar ICFtTC 22: Purple Ninja is a Prince Referencd

 Because  Purple Ninja is called Rain... Purple Rain... Oh Boon, you cheeky bastard. So, Rain is a ninja from Outworld, first appearance was in MK3, so this figure is non-canonical... like the Ermac from the Spawn review.

Rain is an Edenian Demigod whose loyalties are questionable. He quickly switches from Kahn's side to the Eaethrealm side pretty easily. Once he discovers his true heritage he becomes loyal only to himself. 

Articulation 

Literally a Scorpion repaint, means he has the same Sculpt and that means same range of articulation... In theory. Since I haven't touched the previous Storm Collectibles Mortal Kombat Ninjas recently... until Ermac, I can't truly compare the stiffness of articulation between them. (Ermac's photos were in the SD card that suffered the accidental reformatting back in 2019?) Since I can recreate MOST of his in-game poses  (UMK3), he deserves a

Paint and Sculpt 

As a ninja repaint, Rain looks exactly the same as the previous MK ninjas reviewed... including the bloody effects paintjob. The sculpt and paintjob are great, BUT when this is the 6th or 7th figure sharing the exact same mold and the only real difference is the tunic's color, one can lose some excitement about the figure. Also, it's KINDA HARD to review THE EXACT SAME FIGURE 6 or seven times. I know that in the 2D MK games all ninjas were exactly the same. Son in that way, the figure is kinda accurate.

Overall 

Rain gets a 4.83 as his final score. Or a 5.0 if you ignore my MK Ninja fatigue... That's one of the reasons why I have not reviewed Ermac.
