Advent Calendar 04: I think this might be a Bootleg

 

That's the risk with buying imports from Space "Australia". Usually when eBay says Seller is "Australian" they mean

The real toys get made in China. So it makes sense that bootlegs are also made in China...  I got a "Romankey × cowl" girl figure.

Articulation:

On Paper this figure has a shitton articulation.

In reality, the figures joints pop off randomly. Especially at the shoulders. Probably because I'm 98.76352% sure that I got scammed and this is most likely a bootleg.

Yup! I got scammed. Got partial refund from eBay. The quest for fodder bodies continues. Specifically an Irma Body.

So, I have to take this into consideration. As I don't have a genuine figure, I can't compare how bad the bootleg is. Wish I had seen that message before I ordered the figure back in 2024.

So the hypothetical articulation score would be:

5.0

But what I got is a

3.0 the whole falls apart when looked wrong doesn't help.

Sculpt:

I omitted the paint part since this chick is unpainted. 

It has a decent sculpt. Kinda reminds me of 

My third favorite JoJo's daughter... who is also a JoJo. 

Size wise she's as close of what I'd like on an Irma Body. I had to use the smaller breast option (which was a bitch to swap, due to this being a bootleg and all.) to make her more suitable for my needs.

She is also a bit TOO detailed. She has labia and nipples. Her male counterpart has multiple cock options.

Hypothetical score: 4.5

The only thing missing are extra torso and crotch barbells. The Genuine figure probably wouldn't need them. But this bootleg does desperately. After the hassle, I had to go through by changing the large boobs to the smaller ones. I didn't even bother trying with the thighs.

Since the figure falls apart when looking at anything wrong.Any accessory that I tried to give the figure makes her arms fall off.

Overall:

Hypothetically this figure should've been  a 4.83 figure, but the shoddy quality of the bootleg puts her at 3.5 and I think that's too damn high. So let's do a pettiness adjustment of -5! (That's minus five factorial and not an exclamation.) Which puts her at -116.5 as her final score.

Advent Calendar 03: Female Wrestling Announcer 2.0

 

Remember Last Year's Wrestling Compilation for the Advent Calendar? Well, Figures Toy Company made some updated figures and I got the new Female Announcer. You know that figurewise FTC is hit or miss, let us see if she's a hit or a miss...

I will post a stock photo, since I immediately removed her rubber dress and put on Last Year's previous female announcer's red dress on her.

First I need to point something out... she doesn't work well with Super7...

She seems to be true 1/12 and not 1/10...

Fuck! Fuck! Fuuuuuuuuuck!!

But her proportions seem slightly off with her head being a smidgen too small and her legs may be a bit stumpy. Seems Teen sized in 1:10

The arms and torso seem to be in scale with each other. It's the legs that seem shorter. Also, she has black panties.

Articulation:

She has Marvel Legends style articulation with double joints at the elbows and knees.

She has butterfly shoulders.

Hand placement not intentional.

The thigh articulation is a bit annoying due to her crotch. Thank goodness the soft goods dress allows for better articulation.

The rubber dress is a pain to pose. FTC should consider using soft goods dresses.

4.5 without the default dress. 3.0 with it.

Paint and sculpt:

The body sculpt isn't bad. Aside the stumpy legs thing.

 Heads aren't FTC's forte, so I expected an unholy abomination.

The only paint on this figure is on her boots and her face.The feet, the panties, and the hair seem to be molded in the appropriate color.

She has a sculpted tanktop bra unpainted. It looks weird.

Accessories:

Hands, headset, mic.

She can hold the microphone and the headset looks somewhat decent on her head. My only complaint is that the counting hands should be available for the left hand as well.

5.0 only by amount of accessories.

Overall:

Female Announcer gets an overall score of 4.5 AFTER switching dresses. Keeping her in the rubber dress gives her a 4.0 which is good, but could've been better. 

I guess she might end up as a "Midnight Bliss Ken".

Advent Calendar 02: The Day Bison got Reviewed

 Was the greatest day of Nefty's Life... but for Bison, it was Tuesday... Three Bison Figures, all reviewed on a Tuesday. I postponed the Jada Bison to the 2025 Advent Calendar because I was finished with 2024 by the time he arrived to my doorstep. 

So, who is Bison? Evil Dictator and leader of the criminal empire known as Shadaloo. He is able to use the negative energy and amplify his strength. He calls it Psycho Power. Like a roach, he is hard to kill.

Chun Li: Why are we referencing the Shitty Street Fighter movie?
Bison: Wait we're doing The Legend of Chun Li? I WAS PREPARED TO DO 1994!

Articulation 

M. Bison has standard Jada Articulation plus partially Articulated Shoulderpads. There is some Nifty engineering on the shoulder pads in order to make them swappable... They can be a bit tricky though. A part of me is considering buying a second M Bison and glue the shoulder pads to each figure. One figure would have the cake permanently appached. The other would be with the Bear shoulder pads... He can do many of the game poses but but he cannot cross his arms and Jada didn't give him alternate crossed arms like other more expensive fogures have.

Paint and sculpt

For the most part he's based on SF2... He's.

 Not as bulky as the street fighter alpha version, but he is bulkier than the street fighter 2 version. I kind of wish we could get the emaciated capcom vs SNK version of Bison.

Overall:

Bison gets a 4.67 as his final score. I've been having way too much fun with this figure. This is a pretty decent figure for its price poand I'd dare say that it's as image better than some of the imports...

Super Action Force has an arcade... well 2 of them, I just got one of them. The Game On set.

It contains:

There arcade lights up , but I'm not a fan of the effect. I need to find something CHEAP to diffuse the LED light. I'm not gonna buy mylar for something that's barely 5 inches.

Let's discuss the items in detail: 

Arcade machine comes with various vinyl labels... if you have a decent printer that can print on vinyl, you could make your own custom labels... read print screenshot of actual games to use. Requires AAA Batteries.

I like that the machine is customizable.

Balls:

They're 1:12 scales balls. What more can you ask for?  They are a bit too small for the figures. I bought this for. They should work with Marvel Legends.

Flame effect for balls:

 It's a bit.

 Too big it's a bit too heavy and it doesn't have some sort of stand to display. In use.

Puke:

A repaint of last year's puke from the Cursed Crate... 

Ken discovered that Poison has a Manual Transmission.

Boxing Gloves:

They are the same as the ones in the Cursed Crate well.

I used some elastic twine and mounting putty to make the gloves ddecorative. Now we have 4.

Hockey sticks:

Much better for Casey than the Official Super7 one.

Hockey pucks:

They're Hocley pucks... round discs that you hit with the Hockey sticks.

A perfect prop for teenagers or lab workers.

-Spray can with Spray effects;

The can is more suited for 1:10 figures, but  there are few figures with proper Sprying grip. Mounting putty required.

-dizzy effect:

Requires putty. Based on cartoon/game dizzy stars.

Mikey: oh Shell shock!!

-bugged out eyes:

Require mounting putty. For shocking sights mot meant for everyone.

Masks to put over a figures mouth. Require mounting putty.

Food props for figures. I love that stuff.

-Acoustic guitar:

Not as great as the old McFarlane Guitar Hero guitars, but it works.

Drumsticks:

None of my figures can hold them, so mounting putty time yet again.

VR Set:

Headset requires putty, but C-grips can hold the controllers.

Steel chair:

Feels a bit flimsy, but not as flimsy as the AEW chair. It's not great, but not bad either.

These are totally Peats by Are. Not to be confused with Beats by Dre.

-Not a Switch:

What did I just say? It's a portable console visually similar to Nintendo's Switch console.

Holy crap that was a doozy. It's a fun set but some may disagree on the 40-ish price tag... before the infamous Tariffs.
