Shredder clones and the "classicizer": a rant

With Playmates being a little bitch about Super7 and Ultimates, well, super7 has to look into other directions for toys. Mirage is a great source of characters and figures, but in order to NOT Step on NECA's toes, my suggestion is mimic Scott Neitlich's excuse for why 200X stuff wasn't brought into MOTUC: The classicizer.

In other words: taking nonvintage toy charactwrs and putting them through a filter that would make them look "vintage". In this case I'll use the Shredder Clones. NECA made some badass Shredder clones. Super7 could too:

I MAY have done a similar rant or more already, but I just keep coming back to them, and Pizzaface, and Krang's Android Body, since they're among my top wants.

The Classicizer approach could help with other non-vintage characters *cough*Venus*cough*

Let's take the shredder clones as an example:

Shredder (Clone):
This would be a more "deluxe Shredder" figure.
New body pieces: 2 heads, torso with arm interchangeability feature, shoulder discs with interchangeability feature.
Why the interchangeable arms? Because this Shredder is a 2 in 1 figure:
It functions both as Mirage Shredder (clone) and a "classicized" movie Shredder.
Bare arms work for the OG Mirage look and the red clothed arms work for the Movie and clone looks.
He would have a soft goods red tunic in addition to a grey soft goods cape. Playmates wouldn't have used shimmering silver for the cape and the classicizer is mimicking 90s Playmates mentality.
He would have 3 heads (the Mirage inspired head from the existing silver blade Shredder being the only reuse) the 2 new heads would be an Oroku Saki head and a "Playmatesized Movie Shredder head" which would be the Wacky Action Shredder head in gold and silver. So for Super7 this would translate making a head HEAVILY inspired by Wacky Action Shredder, but not entirely accurate to it. Just like Space Cadet Raph is not entirely vintage accurate.

For weapons and other accessories, he gets a katana, a thermite grenade, a hidden knife, and an Ooze Canister.
A less deluxe GITD version could be made later on where the body glows blue and the blades and helmet glow green. It can be called worm colony Shredder and folks might double dip.

Claw Shredder is a different ballgame:
Like I mentioned before, we start with the Foot Soldier body, but this time we need some new parts, not just the arms.
We need a new head, neck, torso overlay, arms, legs, and feet.
The Head, I'd take Inspiration from the Cyber Samurai Shredder figure, which obviously takes inspiration from Secret of the Ooze. The neck is for allowing Shredder to look steaight ahead whether standing upright or hunched over.
The torso overlay is to have the Shredder wrappings.
Unlike the NECA figure, the claw shredder would have the spikes on the shoulders. Maybe make them bony protrusions like the spikes on the claw.
For the legs, he'd need new thighs that slowly get thicker at the knee with the pants tearing where they begin to thicken. The lower legs should be thicker with bony spikes poking out and clawed feet. The left foot claw still has some vestiges of human foot characteristics in good Playmates Toys fashion...
The arm claws should have articulated thumbs. The right claw should have human hand vestigial characteristics.

For weapons and other accessories:
I need to add stuff because a $55 figure coming with nothing is bullshit. So, Let's see what I can pull off. These will be for other characters:
-Makeshift Crossbow: Do I REALLY need to say who is this item's owner?🐀🤴
-Foot Battle Axe
-Foot Spear
-Foot Boomerangs
-Relaxed Rocksteady hands
-Evil communicator
-toon inspired bandolier with knife sheath.

So you get the claw shredder and some upgrades for other characters, namely Rocksteady and the Foot Soldiers.

Mini Shredder Accessory pack:
Since the dude is Tiny, I can't just drop him at $55... also, I'm govong him a better fate than Playmates or NECA who'd make him a "little buddy" with little to zero articulation. I'm doing him justice.
Essentially, this figure would be a 3.75" figure with a 7" scale head. It should get "close" to ultimates articulation, but not really.
He'd lose wrist hinges in order to swap hands:
He'd lose bicep swivel but have hasbro elbow and knees. Hed also lose the thigh cut. He'd use the vanilla Shredder head. If Super7 figures out how to give him swappable hands, the alternate hands would only be relaxed hands. He'd have fists by default.

Accessories:
-Bebop relaxed hands
-Evil communicator
-2× Hi-tech Katana
-2× Hi-tech Bo Staff
-2× Hi-tech Jitte
-2× Hi-tech sansetsukon
-2× Mousers
-2× game sized spy fly

Now the tiny Shredder doesn't feel much like a ripoff.

Last but not least: 4-armed Shredder:

Using The MOTUC body as a size reference in height and chunkiness. The torso should take design cues from Wacky action Shredder. The helmet head should look kinda like the Mutatin' Shredder. Obviously a lot of his accessories will be hands (fists, relaxed, c-grips.) Since the vintagized style Shredder won't have the blades on the back of his hands, that would save S7 money on tooling.

Weapons and other accessories:
-Soft goods grey tunic for the normal shredder (wave 2 or wave 8)
-4× serrated katana (not based on Wacky action Shredder)
-worm colony plug-ins for arm and hand.( I know it's not entirely accurate to the source  but I'm using the notion that s7 laziness trumps accuracy.)
- 2× spy fly.

Due to the hands and size, I had to reduce the number of extras on him in order to use s7 logic.
