It came from the Toy Chest: The only scummy thing about him is the price.

 I got Scumbug. Against common sense, I caved and got the Turtle Exterminating roach... I'm going to state it right out the bat. Unlike Wingnut where the $75 price can be justified, Scumbug's $65 tag CAN'T.

He's Tiny for a $65 figure. Slash was $55 and is way Beefier than Scumbug.

Articulation:

Standard Super7 ultimates articulation but now they seem to have inherited Silverhawks styled torso articulation that is as useful as the Joes sending Shipwreck and Snowjob to the Sahara.

His standard head seems to have a hinged jaw. I am not entirely sure. It could be a defect becoming a feature for all I know. It's actually hinged. I have to point out that when wearing his exterminator backpack his articulation can become limited due to the torso plugs falling off when posing.

Paint and Sculpt:

Here we see the effects of Playmates Toys bitching and Kyle's dislike of gross and icky things. The paint mostly works... I may have to do some slight repainting to bring back some icky. I'm thinking painting the inner side of the mandibles purple, reddening his gumline a little bit (pink looks too healthy), maybe even painting some green oozing from where the hoses plug to his body. But my only complaint about the sculpt is that Super7 amputated 2 of his arms. The vintage toy has two shriveled bug arms sculpted on his abdomen. What we got is a pseudo vintagized NECA Scumbug.

The roaches can be plugged in in various holes on his body.

He has a vintage toy sprayer and a new more realistic sprayer, which I prefer.

His backpack has a couple of issues. Mainly the hoses don't cooperate with the tiny body holes... or the sprayers. Unlike Zak the Neutrino, the hose and plus are properly sized. (Zak has been chosen as an Advent Calendar item.) But for some reason mine were painted wrong. The right hose (copper end)  fits better on the left side and vice-versa.

DO NOT REMOVE the belt. It's a bitch to put back on and I fear potential breakage.

Overall:

Scumbug gets a 4.33 as his final... nope! I will deduct half a point for being unfairly overpriced. His final final score is 3.83... between the backpack crap and being overpriced, the 4.33 was too damn high.
