Yes, Netflix is making a live action, Captain Planet.

There is a part of me that's curious to see how this will go.

The other part is afraid of how much they'll screw it up. I mean, it's an international group of superpowered ecoterrorist/communists Attacking white capitalist American business people... I think a certain part of the US Population will feel offended. I won't say who, but you know who they are. 45/47.

What could be considered problematic is that the company behind the Arrowverse is behind this. So, Kwame may lose his role as team leader. Linkage might become Ukranian and probably the sole white Planeteer. We know what happens to Ginger's in fiction... I'm gonna call it now: Wheeler will be Triracial. His father will be white Irish and his Mom will be a Bi-Racial 3rd generation Afro-Nuyorrican. 

All jokes aside, Cast will make or break the show until Berlanti forces Gi to become the de facto leader.
