MOTU Tales from Eternia: Thoughts

 Mattel released the first webisode of their MOTU Series: Tales from Eternia... something they could've been doing since they were doing Life in the Dreamhouse...

It's a bite sized MOTU show better than Netflix's attempts at MOTU. I hate it so much that a "lazy webtoon" has beaten Mattel's last 2 attempts at a MOTU cartoon.

Apparently, MOTU WILL have a sequel despite less than optimal bix office numbers

 According to Forbes. Bsically the same old song about the movie flopping, how it didn't capture audiences, yet the movie getting great audience scores...

But Amazon is interested in pushing people to Prime and there, thanks to the good word of mouth is where MOTU can recoup what it doesn't make on theaters. 

But sequel is a good thing... it needs to be available on theaters because direct to streaming movies don't make the best numbers.

 We got the second SDCC Exclusive... it's Street Fighter related.

Problem is that it'll be a Jada exclusive and they kinda are a pain to ahip outside US. IIRC, they classified Puerto Rico as international and unable to ship.

No Marvel, No Star Wars, No Transformers, No TMNT, no Mario... loads of Barbie and crappy dolls.

 Looking at the Mario Movie figures, makes me a bit worried. 

YOSHI is the one with the Most accessories. Mario comes with Rosalina's Luma, Rosalina comes with a wand and is basically a statue with arms. Bowser Jr. Comes with the Paintbrush.

 Specifically Camila Mendes and Nick Galitzine... with the Sky Sled. 

Will I get Grayskull? I dunno. I passed on 2 Chronicles figures because they were a tad too expensive. Incredibly enough alleged pedophile Jared Leto has been very hard to find.. in any scale. 

The funny thing is that many people who are coaxed into watching the movie who aren't fans of the property have described the movie as good yet, critics try to paint this like the biggest flop since Space Jam too. 

A part of me misses the PlayStation 2 era when movies came out. There was always a shitty tie-in game attached and this movie screams, classic God of war clone. 

And Fuck you Neitlich... it's movie year and there's no Crystal Castle or MOTUC NA Roster completed...

 The fridge is Too Big, but fuck it I'm still using it for the MuTeens display.

Amazon already has preorders for physical copies of MOTU

 I pre-ordered the DVD, because fuck it I NEED it in my life.

Just letting you all know that while there is no release date announced, the movie is coming along with a physical release. Of course this may scare folks a little. It scares me, not gonna lie. But is the fact that Amazon is makong a physical copy and not forcing pur hands to get Prime.

MOTU movie post view thoughts

 After letting my brain marinate over 12 hours of seeing the new MOTU movie here are a few of my thoughts:

My Mom would've been a bit more pissed off than me about it... the few Highlander references would've definitely rubbed her the wrong way.

I didn't like how Randor was portrayed storywise.

Loved the Dolph Lundgren Cameo.

Hated how Mossman was used.

Hated how well Jared Leto played Skeletor... 

Hated Post Credits Scene 1... because we had said character as a post credits scene character.

Loved that the Adam and He-Man dynamic exists in this universe... even if it's a subversion of the trope...

I've seen a few "reviews" criticizing the movie for being a "cash grab to sell toys". How dare a movie based on a toyline try to sell toys!? Amazon better make physical copies. 

Amazon and Fiber optics: Odds and ends

 I bought a Shoto Todoroki Total Anime... Amazon was selling one for $19. + taxes "Used Mint"

Plus figure was blasted with Superglue making the leg useless.

Now I have to print labels which are a hassle. AND PAY POSTAGE plus any other surprise charges... worst part is that this wasn't a third party seller it was AMAZON themselves! Amazon is worse than third party sellers.

Fiber Optic internet is amazing until the fiber optic cable decides to die for no reason... you can't fix it... because the wires aren't, exactly easy to obtain. So the technician had to come home to literally switch a cable... less than a freakong minute.

Go watch it. While not perfect, way better than the 1987 movie. Laughed, I cried... i even forgot that man at arms was black. Or that skeletor is an alleged pedophile cult leader. There are surprises in the end , and I got a boner
