I'm torn on this. This AI Pic I found on a post mocking the idea makes them look REALLY GOOD. As a former theater kid, this casting looks good... but then I remember current Hollywood trends of Voice Actors needing to be EXACTLY LIKE THE CHARACTERS THEY VOICE. Like how Alyson Court could no longer voice Jubilee because she's white, or how they made Norman Osborn black to fit the voice Actor, whose first name escapes me, but his last name is Domingo. At the same time I remember that Benedict... Doctor Strange had to apologize for years from Zoolander 2 and robbing a "non-cis actor" from playing his character.
Yeah, are we going to rob two "cisgendered" actors from playing "cisgender" roles? Good for the goose, good for the gander and all that. Since Hollywood wants "authentic representation", trans actors can't be cisgendered characters; because they're not cisgendered. It would be hypocritical to do otherwise.

Visially the "fan" casting looks great, but it clashes against the current "authenticity" ideas. Oh yeah, It applies for everyone except white folks.
