Some users have been screwed over by pre-orders. The retailers staple preorder receipts to boxes to assign a console per preorder and this receipt stapling is puncturing Switch2 screens.
While the issue seems to be mainly at a single games top, it still showcases how Nintendo's cost-cutting in packaging, has damaged their product. Back in the day Styrofoam would've been protecting the console. Since Styrofoam is now bad, a couple of layers of corrugated cardboard and a thicker outer box would've done the trick.
Now let's see how Nintendo's solving this.
