As I mentioned earlier, 2024 is the 40th anniversary of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. NECA happens to be a company making TMNT toys and in the past 20 years have worked on Mirage versions of the characters... but with the 40th anniversary creeping by, here's what I think they should do to celebrate:
Mirage Turtles 2.0:
Rumor has it that the official molds for Mirage Turtles went missing. Therefore, those turtles can't be rereleased.
So, may I suggest this:
They are still Mirage Based, but different enough from the 2006-ish releases.
Mirage Casey Jones:
Technically speaking, combining new parts with some from Toon Casey, a comic book Casey can be made.
April 2.0:
Let's face it the previously-released Mirage April was a bit underwhelming in the articulation Department. She needs an update.
Baxter and a buttload of Mousers:
Human Baxter is a tricky figure to sell on his own... add a buttload of Mousers and he will sell because of Mousers.
Splinter:
We NEED a Mirage Splinter, period... Heck! He can be paired up with a Rat King and have the remains of Rat King as an accessory... (Translucent redeco of Rat King can be a Loot Crate item)
Karai vs Shredder 2-pack:
The shredder is just to have some pre-existing stuff reused to balance out Karai.
More Foot Ninja:
This one is self-explanatory we would need to have enough foot Ninja to outnumber the turtles.
Mousers:
A second buttload of Mousers but bigger than the first.
Since Mousers are virtually the same in nearly all versions of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, this item would expand both Comic and Cartoon toy lines unless you are not an opener.
This set should be released Long after Baxter is sold out. I know it's a bit of a dick move, but it's for the best.
Yes I'm aware that this list somewhat resembles the Super7 wish list but it's for an obvious reason:
I'm covering most of the core elements from volume 1, since one could argue Volume 1 was the ROOTS of TMNT. The 1987 toon is the strongest BRANCH of the brand, but the root and source is still Mirage Volume 1.
