Advent Calendar 09: April, why aren't you Yellow!?

 

I got this because it was for the price of a single Lightning Collection figure... and it was Michelangelo, for whom I have a soft spot. Then there's April. The only fictional character that's not Glimmer that... *ahem* Yes, O'Neil. I have a hard spot for her. I like April a bit too much...

April: Is that a morpher or are you happy to see me.
Mike: It's a Morpher, dude. If I let my turtle dong out you'd have to summon Megazord to take that monster down!

Sorry, seems that the unofficial mascot got control of the post for a moment. So, It's April and Michelangelo as Power Rangers. I may need to hunt for the other turtles. 

April is Literally Kimberly with a new head, a Mic, and a news camera. And a Torso that doesn't match her limbs. But here's an in-depth review. 

April: Who are we fighting?
Mike: I've no clue there's no Bulksteady and Skullbop, or Rita Krangpulsa.
April: There's Dragonzord Shredder.
Nefty VO: Like Hell I'm buying that! It's an insult to Jason David Frank.

Articulation 

April has the same articulation as Kimberly.

Except her bow and arrow hands lack the proper hinges.

Paint and sculpt:

I already mentioned the issue that her torso is not moulded in the same tone of pink as her arms and legs. She also lacks a skirt... wow! The only other issue is that April doesn't look like a Teenager with attitude. She looks like a late forties-early 50s wino mom.

3.5 if she looked like a late 20s April, I wouldn't mind. But looking like a 2017 Sandra Bullock lookalike hurts her score. Don't get me wrong.She still looks sexy in a MILF turning GILF kinda way, but her 24 year old teenager body kinda betrays her sexy 54 year old face.

April: This is April O'Neil signing off... Michelangelo! We're you filming my boobs!?
Mike: Apes, that's the only reason New York tunes in!

Overall

April gets a 4.33 as her final score. A bit meh...

The real star of the show is Michelangelo.

The turtles got all new Power Ranger bodies. Obviously the shell and plastron limits some of the articulation.

The body kinda reminds me of a 2003 turtle while the head reminds me of a 2012 turtle vintagized.

Mikey overall:

 Mikey has a 4.5 as his final score. He's a bit awkward, but shame that Hasbro gave up on Rangers, because Teenagers with attitude would've been cool  for normal PR and civilian versions of April and the Turtles would've been cool. I mean, NECA, Super7, Playmates, Mattel, and Hasbro have done Turtles... but the main question is: Whats the final score of thr 2 pack:

4.44 a decent score... it's better than Grand Wizard Daniel LaRusso.
