Slime Pit He-Man is a bad idea.

Yes, this time I'm on an Anti-Something-in MOTUC Campaign...
The victim here is Slime Pit He-Man... Who is he?
He appears on the Mini Comic Escape from the Slime Pit! that came with the Slime Pit Playset.
Here's the thing: I'm NOT AGAINST the inclusion of Slime Pit He-Man in MOTUC as I am AGAINST TO THE INCLUSION OF SLIME PIT HE-MAN IN MOTUC...
Confused? Good.

I don't mind the idea of Slime Pit He-Man, but we need to get a few things straightened out...

No, it's not the lack of a Slime Pit, but it would be better if we actually HAD ONE before getting said He-Man variant.

-Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES it should be released randomly like Mr. Cherry Coke Hordak. That method of delivery was far more frustrating than fun.

This next one is the most important point:

-It NEEDS TO BE A NEARLY 100% NEW SCULPT NON-TRANSLUCENT ITEM!!

I've heard many fans begging for a translucent lime-green He-Man to act as the Slime Pit He-Man.
I SAY NAY TO THEE!! Slime Pit He-Man is not He-Man made out of slime. IT IS He-Man COVERED IN SLIME!! The SLIME IS Translucent, NOT He-Man! Doing a Translucent green He-Man is a cheap and lazy cop out to us having a REAL SLIME PIT He-Man.
First things first: Instead of Translucent, the Figure should glow in the dark. Because SLIME!! And that creepy green glow would make him look creepier than non-GITD Slimed look.

Second: Since it's He-Man showered in Slime, his body should reflect that. A plain Repaint of the ol' He-Man Buck won't just cut it.
Here's a crude drawing on how a more Accurate Slime Pit He-Man could be made while keeping a degree of part reuse.

He keeps the normal He-Man head. The paintjob can make it work. (red Eyes, Darker coloring on the teeth.)
The Hairpiece should be new. Slimed and the hair matted to his face perhaps adding globs of slime to it.
The main body is the normal body, minus the biceps and thighs that would be new with big globs of slime oozing down his biceps and thighs.
The Loincloth and Harness would be new Pieces as well. In the loincloth's case it would have globs of slime on it and on the belt. the Harness, well, globs of slime to it as well. Now these two pieces could be Translucent, but with their inside ends painted in the same  green as He-Man. Perhaps the hair could be done that way as well. The Reason for that is to mimic the effect of Frosta's hair and making some of the slimed parts of the body shine like real slime.
That's Seven New Pieces for this Character and those seven pieces are the BARE Minimum to make the character not feel super half-assed like a Green repaint of plain old He-Man. The more new parts on him, the better he'll look.

Again, I DO NOT WANT a Translucent He-Man with Less Accessories to become "Slime Pit He-Man". There are better figures that could be made as "Lazy out of sub items".
Single Carded Prince Adam:
Take the same Adam we got with Orko. Give him the Smiling head. Make him as pale as Adora, give him a Fuchsia vest, one whole Power sword in Fuchsia (one or two tones) and we're done!

  1. Good points. Just molding He-Man in green does not a Slime Pit He-Man make.

  2. I just want the best Slime Pit He-Man if he is made; not a half assed green repaint/recast which Mattel is most likely to do!
