Black Buffy reboot is no longer a reboot but a spin-off.

The showrunner had to go on Social media to explain that it was a spin-off... You know what? It being a spin-off is much better than being a reboot. It allows for diversity as AN ORGANIC THING instead of being FORCED like the Charmed or She-Ra reboots...
I wonder if THIS was the intended plan OR if backlash brought up that change. I kinda believe it was the latter. I mean, every article citing reboot wasn't corrected as a continuation/spin-off of Buffy. It wasn't until the huge backlash where even internet scam artists who were "friends" with Whedon complained about it... I have to wonder if Whedon tried to get inside this person's pants.....

But I digress, this "forced racial rainbow" is freaking insulting to minorities. It is basically telling them that the only way people will care about them is if they become a puppet imitating a white actor who played the role previously.  This new slayer may be the complete opposite of SMG's take on Buffy (must mention Kristy Swanson who made the original mold that Gellar used) Hell, she could be an EVEN BETTER CHARACTER THAN BUFFY.
Many of you younglings don't remember this, but Sarah Michelle Gellar was compared with Kristy Swanson, the OG Buffy... and a few people wanted Swanson as TV Buffy. Now that the Buffy III has been averted, this new slayer will have a bit of more freedom to stand tall by her own merits, rather than getting the "Buffy hand me downs".
