Now that there is no Vanilla Skeletor and no Vanilla He-Man on Mattycollector and there's few characters that CAN be considered "essential"... New Adventures Skeletor is NOT one of them.
Seriously, aside the Flash items, none of the items that were put for that week (except Vanilla He-Man and Panthor) Oh yeah! Stratos is almost gone! Kowl and Loo-Kee can't be added to the cart. Not sure if glitch or sold out.
There's a bunch of items that are stuck in limbo. Mostly due to the miserable discounts. What are they going to do in 2015 to move that army of Geldors, Karattis, Battleground Teelas, etc. since it's MOTUC's "final year"? Then we need to add the CS Stock of 2014, early 2015 and the Club Etheria items.
Then there's the Sub Exclusives. What ARE they going to do with all those Extra Oo-Larrs, Gorpos, and King He-Man figures? (I don't mention Shadow Weaver since Mattel ran out of Weavers due to the 2012 DR subscriber glitch that caused some people to lose Fistos, Sorceress and Weavers. On the other hand others got doubles of those. I wonder if they still have PD He-Man and Wun Dars around.)
As we saw with the DCUC with figures at $6 on the 2014 Cyber Sale; I almost expect Mattel to deliver a massive discount on the MOTUC items they have. End of the Line Blow out Sale kind of thing. I almost expect the figures to be $12 tops. Well that is if Mattel wants to move ALL the MOTUC Stuff left. The Ridiculous 20% discount will not fly well in 2015 if they want to move all. They had to resort to selling the DCUC at $6 to get rid of them. I guess the Pre-2015 MOTUC might suffer the same fate.
I mentioned the sub exclusives for a simple reason. I know they are EXCLUSIVE to SUBSCRIBERS. I wonder if selling them ONLY THROUGH Early Access, which is EXCLUSIVE to Subscribers would be a profitable way for Mattel to dump their excess Sub exclusives (ie: Light Hope, King He-Man, etc.) since it keeps them as Sub Exclusives (only Subscribers can use the Early Access link.) Think about it.
Long story short: There IS A LOT of STUFF, sadly most of it is NOT the MOST WANTED STUFF.
Mattel will NEED to figure out a way to move a lot of that unwanted stock before the end of 2015... Seriously? $45.60 for Mo-Larr!? No wonder they can't get rid of him!
Aside the Shipping bonus and me being able to catch up with some figures, this sale wasn't that great. In some ways it was better than last year's since I was able to BUY STUFF!! In others it was worse, since stuff had better discounts back then. I know they are saving Shokoti for December, but no Nepthu? What the Heck!?
