Action figures, Movies, Games, TV shows, things I like, Things I hate, weird news old or recent... they're fair game for my rants.
DISCLAIMER: OPINIONS POSTED ARE EXAGGERATED FOR COMEDIC EFFECT!! Got it?
Sorry: Extreme Rules... They are shying away from Hardcore, because porn.
This list started due to the light bulbs from the Ringside hardcore items set.
I wanna see more of these, because they help with other displays... like breakable crates, trashcans fire extinguishers... I know some of these are readily available. But I'm looking for stuff to be also available in other lines and usable with WWE. In a reverse WWE accessories thing.
Like say Casey Jones having broken wooden bats and bent metal bats in a TMNT Weapons pack that happens to be compatible with WWE figures.
Like the old Jakks grapple gear packs that featured parking meters, parking blocks, tires, etc.
A lot of those things have cross compatibility with the upcoming TMNT line if they're 6.5 inch scale. Which mattel should do. In a way that's how they can get WWE compatible hardcore stuff if WWE won't allow it.
I don't buy from Ringside often, because there isn't a huge variety in accessories. Most of them seem the same as Figures Toy Company's.
Roughly ⅔ of the accessories called my attention as I had never seen them on FTC's line-up:
Here we go!
FINISH HIM!
The Rack with Barbed wire is in both sites. It's bigger than I expected.
Sadly the Pizza cutter has a puny handle
I hope the one from Teeny Tinies is better. The main Item I wanted was disappointing.
I wish we had More of these. Dammit, where's that 40-year old virgin clip?
Cuffs aren't the best, but they work... on Super7 figures.
Nailed 2×4 and a barbed wired bat... they're decent. Mught give the board to Rat King I.
Mikey: Like Hyah! Dude... April 30th will be Legendary.
The Torch was another on the most wanted items. The trash can is OK.
Mikey: Nyeh nyeh nyeh myeeeeeeeh! I Have a Pony Jar! Need to place pony and fill it with... you get the idea.
Mikey: Whoa! You almost fell into those thumbtacks and Barbed wire... Trump: You saved me... Mikey: Yeah, so I could ask you about my a DOGE check, my Tariff Check, and my Vote Republican on the Midterms... that's like $12K you owe me, dude.
Container and other stuff. I was supposed to post this earlier, but I was miffed that Pizzaface Jr's shirt didn't come... I was wrong. It was tangled in the packing filler cardboard.
The Glow in the Dark dumpster...
How big is it?
It's big enough.
I will probably add some glow in the dark and non glow in the dark paint to make it less translucent.
The jacket is "red"... Now neo Nick looks more like a Dingus.
The drums are Jakks Pacific Molds.
The ones right there on the hall of pain.
No need for Double Dragons now...
PF Jr looks a bit better now.
I'm still missing the recycling bin from FTC, but the dumpster made me realize that an IDW Herman would be gigantic and unfeasable.
Getting the FTC Media Scrum playset is a slightly cheaper take on the Scalpor set. You get chairs, mics and water bottles, but a blank backdrop and thr same tables and cloth cover for them. Sure you don't get a figure, but it's easier to build your own displays. Blank cloth allows you to print and attach your own decals. Or just plain print stuff and glue or tac to it.
You can use 1:24 3d printed statues, the Itty bitty funko pops. Now we have excuses for scalpers. Those World's Smallest figures... and stuff like mini brands stuff for garage sales, flea markets and stuff.
Once again we need more diverse 1:12 to 1:10 bodies.
Of course, some of these would have more use on the pink aisle. Mattel... I know you and I don't have the best relationship, but hear me out:
First ignore the tired Valkyrie statue... then this is my crazy idea:
WWE figure Scaled Barbie "Action Dolls". Bodies like action figures but doll playability and world...
Translation:
They're action figures first, but they get the Barbie Treatment for looks, vehicles and Playsets. They would also could crosspollinate with WWE by having joint crossovers. Whether Barbie as a wrestler or dressed as a Diva... maybe even an Announcer or whatever. Barbie Limo could be repainted into a WWE Mr. McMahon or JBL limo or whatever. Just as Big Jim crosspollinated stuff with MOTU.
Now I would have 3 tiers for these:
Basic:
Similar to the Basic WWE Figures: sculpted clothing, Basic articulation... think Diva Superstars that I use as MuTeens stuff... or Superhero girls for the Skipper sized teen girls.
I'm referencing both scale and articulation.
Target audience is kids.
Deluxe:
Would be closer to WWE Elite figures:
Also here's a good place to start with the Diversity Experiment:
By Deluxe I mean better Articulation and adding accessories like wheel chairs prostheses? and stuff. Some figures could get soft goods accessories and prebuild the elite nude bodies... both kids and collectors would be the main target.
The third level would be Elite:
Mainly for collectors, here we get in some cases, soft goods outfits, alternate heads for expressions or rooted hair, special collectors figures, like say Ken as He-Man and Barbie as She-Ra (Masterverse bodies with Ken and Barbie Heads.) Allan as Matt Mason, etc.
We could get Midge with her pregnant belly as a figure here. Retro Dolls turned into figures could be released here. They could officially release a Barbenheimer figure. Basically Barbie dressed as Oppenheimer with a Nuke base/stand
that has Barbie saying: "I am Become Death, destroyer of worlds!"
Something Inspired by the mostly cardboard dreamhouse from The 60s could be sold as a playset for basic figures. Maybe with a bit more plastic. They could be a studio apartment series. You get some basic furniture pieces (plastic) plastic supports with door(plastic) and various inner and outer walls. Buy multiples and place on actual shelves and you got a Barbie Apartment building... (hint: Barbie × Friends crossover)
For the Elite, you get the more elaborate Plastic Dreamhouses. The townhouses would crosspollinate with various Toylines not just Mattel's. These could be the equivalent of a Barbie Grayskull.
For vehicles:
My pics are:
Barbie Austin Healey 3000
Barbie Ferrari
Barbie Corvette
Barbie Camper
Barbie Volkswagen New Beetle
They could.make them in various colors.
Like the pink Austin Healey could also come in silver
The Ferrari is only Red.
The Corvette in pink, blue, and red.
The camper in pink and white and in beige
The VW in pink, white, yellow
And as much as I hate this: an additional color or alternate Driver for certain retailers:
For example: the Austin Healey in pink has OG Barbie and Ken, the silver version has Barbie's parents:
The Ferrari could come with a Barbie in the standard release. For the Target exclusive, you get a Ken in a Hawaiian shirt no mustache... but it's a wink to Magnum.
And so forth...
Personally I'd have Skipper driving the VW with Barbie. The expressipns of Skipper and Barbie would be the differences outside the car color.
For the camper I want to have one of the recolors to have a retro vibe with younger versions of Barbie's parents. A Skipper aged Barbie and kid aged Skipper.
That's it for Mattel.
Other companies:
We need average looking people... flabby, pudgy, old, young... we can't let FTC carry all the weight here.
Even Babies, Shredder... even babies. Other than Marvel Legends Baby Cable...
Did Legends ever do this? Or was it exclusive to Marvel Universe? Hangover reference?
If not figures, get into the Diorama game. Super action stuff, to name a company, does props for figures.
Extreme Sets does cool stuff, but it's cardboard... I need more plastic in my diorama.
I wanna say 1/10 vehicle model kits, but that might be expensive... like nearly $300 per vehicle expensive. That's why we need a big toy company like Mattel, Hasbro, or even Playmates to step up.
Seriously Playmates, now that you're turtleless, maybe try generic dioramas/playsets and vehicles
Searching for THE ULTIMATE ULTIMATES! PROPS, has led me to Mini Brands! Yes, I'm aware that for the most part, some of the props made by this company are meant to be for Barbie dolls and other 1/6 scale figures/dolls.
I've seen on YouTube. Various videos reviewing these and they have some items at work with 1/10 scale. Figures saw as NECA or Super7. They were 33% off at Walgreens so so I took a plunge... and now I have Two balls. I'd make a Dandadan reference but the balls are white.
And here we go:
Ball 1:
Huge ass cans of Fanta and Chunky soup. Don't have any use for them.
Pringles can Barely passes
Jelly Belly bag passes
Pepperridge Farm Cake box barely passes. Disappointed that it didn't have a Cake.
Ball 2:
Post it box passes, but I ain't using that.
Bubblegum a bit too big, but I'll call it family sized.
Sprite bottle can pass of as a 1.75L bottle.
Pepperidge Farm cookies and crackers barely pass.
Weird ass un-American money, is meh.
Too much cardboard and paper to my tastes.
NOT GONNA BOTHER CHASING ANYMORE MINI BRANDS! This statement was a lie. Bought more MiniBrands after this review was written (Late 2024 and early 2025). I bought some of the Foodie items on eBay... mainly Pizza Hut Pizza.
Now for the Figures Toy Company accessories.
I got some Mice because they were supposed to be smaller than rats.
That Mouse is Ginormous! But If I get a couple of these, I can have a "rat" army for the Rat King. But seriously, Super7, we need a Rat army building accessory pack.
You want to make your Rat King more Mirage-like...
The barbed wire can be slipped off!
Now you're thinking, Casey Jones needs more weapons. FTC got you covered.
A tennis racket with a cover to protect the mesh.
I could've sworn the Pic they had back when I ordered it had sculpted mesh. But whatever. Now Casey has another weapon for the bag.
The handle for the bucket came broken. But most of those buckets rarely keep their handles IRL. I'm repainting the mop. Because it looks like crap and needs fixing.
a combination of beige and brown added some murky translucency to blend in the cartoony dirt. I made sure the bottom was the dirtier part.
Update:
I got a few presents at work, Christmas party... They know I'm a Toy Guy, so more Mini Brands stuff... received 4 Balls. Two are Mini Brands by Zuru, the other two are MGA's Miniverse.
Maybe the stickers can be useful for douche room decoration.
The Zuru Mini Brands is still bad. The Sneaker set works for 1:6, so not for me. Don't look at a Gift horse in mouth and all that.
Shaving cream might be usable.
The other set has repeats and useless stuff.
The MGA stuff is better, but requires sunlight or UV lamps and I'm short of both... Spike! Play Evan and Katelyn's Resin time song! Whaddya mean there's no clip! Zoardammit!
This one made me cry, because bagels with smoked salmon, and cream cheese sandwiches was Mom's favorite sandwich You have no idea how many of these I've prepared back when I wasn't an orphan.
The next set even has a table. It's a salad.
The table works as a coffee table though.
MGA's where it's at.
Update:
I had dropped a third MGA ball in the trunk. Now I haz Pregger's pickles.
I saved a few slices of cucumber for the Figures to eat... since the "vinegar" is UV Resin.
Hopefully the Resin will level before Sunrise.
Tip: if you want the jar to open, DO NOT CLOSE LID BEFORE LETTING THE RESIN CURE. Taking Pictures of the jar sideways doesn't help.
I almost forgot about the sandwiches! Here they are al resined out.
Updating the Update:
I got WAY TOO many of these MGA Miniverse food items throughout 2025 before the Tariffs. Got a few repeats and began mix and matching to make different stuff. Now for 2026, I might get an UV light so I don't have to relying on Mr. Sun for setting the items. Sadly, I haven't gotten a second salmon bagel, or a cheeseburger. But I got way too many pregnancy craving pickles.
