Nintendo delaying US Switch 2 pre-orders

Thanks to the whole Tariff debacle. Thanks Trump.

According to Nintendo's official statement, the delay is necessary to "assess the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions." The news sparked immediate backlash online, where frustrated gamers squarely blamed Trump for the disruption.

This whole Tariff issue will most likely put the Switch 2 past the $500 price tag, which would be counterproductive to Nintendo. Especially after they moved their factories from China during Trump's first presidency. Now the Vietnamese and Cambodian factories are gonna be hit with almost 50% tariffs.

This will hit a LOT MORE than just videogames. It will hit pretty much everything. Toys, clothes, appliances, parts, furniture, you name it. This means that the Advent Calendar might end in 2026 as I have some old stuff to review and there will be a shortage of post 2024 toys.

On the toy front Ultimates might become Deluxe.

Let's see how this goes.
