I have no idea how to introduce this pair... it makes no sense. Morbius should have been paired with Felicia Hardy, not Doctor Strange!? They could have given us a Spidey TAS version of Baron Mordo to pair with Doctor Strange. But here we are. So Doctor Strange: Medical Surgeon, got his hands busted, ended up becoming Sorcerer Supreme after trying to fond a way to heal his hands.
Michael Morbius: Became a living Vampire after trying to use Bats as a way to cure his diseased body... Oh I get it, they're Doctors! Weak link but whatevs! Eye of Agamotto! Let's review these SOBs!
Let's start with Doctor Strange!
The only way to display this figure. |
Articulation:
Hasbro dropped the ball here:
Doctor Strange is useless from the Ab crunch up. Glued on cape that drapes over his shoulders and it almost reaches his elbows.
2.5
Paint and sculpt:
He seems to share a lot with the Comic Book Strange from a few years back. But if you missed out on that classic comic book strange, this makes for an acceptable substitute... if you can get over the articulation issue and purple tunic.
5.0
Accessories:
2 extra hands
2 same old Spell effect.
Sadly, figures from multipacks get shafted in the accessories Department.
3.0
Overall:
Doctor Strange gets a 3.5 as his final score. Well it's closer to a good score, it's kind of disappointing. Especially for a character that needs to move his arms around due to Magic and stuff. Since I am doing Doctor Strange now, I think I should do a bonus review before I attack Morbius.
Enter Wong:
Yes, it's the Multiverse of Madness version of him, because Hasbro hadn't made a comic book based Wong at the time of me writing this. (Yes, I'm aware of the Amzon 2 pack of Strange and Wong)
Articulation:
In a Reverse Doctor Strange maneuver, Wong is useless from the waist down. From the waist up he's almost as poseable as a Spider-Man figure... despite having no ab crunch.
2.5
Madisynn: Wongers why doesn't Shinji get in the fucking Robot? Wong: He's depressed. Madisynn: *gasp* Don't tell me they're going to put that wounded girl in. Shinji! GET IN THE FUCKING ROBOT!! |
Paint and sculpt:
The sculpt is very detailed and he has a decent likeness to Benedict Wong. The paintjob is decent for a Hasbro Legends figure.
5.0
Accessories:
3 extra hands
1 sword
2 baf pieces
It's not exactly not enough accessories but for Wong they're enough.
4.0
Overall:
Wong gets a 3.83 as his final score. It's a smidge better than Doctor Strange but not by much. I had this figure for the longest time waiting to be reviewed and Doctor Strange gave me a chance to do him. Now it's Morbin' time!
It's Morbin' Time! |
Articulation:
Only the coat blocks some of his articulation, but he's very poseable.
4.0
Jared Leto has a cult... so, Morbius with his plasma suckers already look like a stigmata... you get the idea. |
Paint and sculpt:
He does look like the animated version of Morbius the living vampire. My only nitpick about the sculpting is that his v-neck is painted on instead of an actual sculpt. I cannot complain because they did the character Justice. And while I have the comic book version of Morbius the living vampire, I preferred the Tamed cartoon version because he needs more plasma!
5.0
Accessories:
Fists fuck you Hasbro.
1.0
Overall:
Morbius gets 3.5 pints of plasma as his final score. He needed to get more head. I know what I said! Now that I have tackled all two members of the Doctor Strange versus Morbius in the living vampire 2-pack, let's tally the score...
3.5 it's not bad but it could have been better.
