I'm super stoked about the Wrestling fans line. A bit more so than the Crew... But the possibilities are rather large here for not only civilians, but customs. Because let's face it... I've repainted most of my UWF by Figures Toy Company. So far, Karen is the only one spared.
So, I have ideas and I'll divide them in new heads/accessories on old bodies vs stuff needing brand new bodies. Today I'm tackling:
Old bodies, new Accessories:
Let's start with the kids:
- More kids with excess Melanin, especially girls.
- Gingers
- Nerdy looking kids (glasses, clean cut... gimme a boy with a bowlcut)
- Girls with pigtails, braids, curly hair, cute little Afro (boy or girl)
- A sleeveless hoodie like Hunter or Brad but for kids.
- Sleeveless sweater vest for nerds and preppies.
- Kids with caps facing forward
- Girls with longer hair wearing caps
Now let's hit the Ladies:
- Unbuttoned vest (preferably denim styled)
- Gingers
- Blondes
- Diamond top
- Pigtails like the girl in the meme with the Melanin abundant brothers.
- Perm (think Judith Hoag 1990) can be used on both races.
- Maybe a blonde Tiffani Thiessen looking girl. (Totally planning to make a TMNT Custom of Burne's girlfriend Tiffany with this head. The dress will be a pain, though.)
- Non pleated skirts.
- Return to soft goods dresses. They're more form fitting and allow articulation.
- Curly/wavy hair that can be used on both races.
- Blazer top
Now let's do the Slim Dudes...
- Denim vest Unbuttoned. (Different colors would be great.)
- More Dudes with Melanin.
- Leather Jacket overlay
- Nerdy vest overlay (use with long sleeves)
- This one is literally paint and not new sculpting. Long sleeve undershirts/"sleeves" like the ones a Certain Hardy Boy uses.
- Longish hairstyles (MacGyver hairdo, Dolph Lundgren as He-Man hairdo, ponytails, Jay's hairdo from Jay and Silent Bob etc.)
- Balding slim dudes.
Let's do the big men:
- Brothers with Melanin
- Fully Bald guys
- Steven Seagal inspired face in blond.
- Full heads of hair that aren't curly.
- Vests similar to that of the Planeteers.
- Unbuttoned Hawaiian shirt overlay (the shirt sleeve sculpt of the arm should be the same color as the overlay. For example red shirt overlay over black torso with red sleeves.)
- Bowlcut (So I can paint the dude in HBO Billy Kincaid colors or me cosplaying as Doc Ock)
The thing here is to have "diversity" at a visual level. Try to hide the shared parts a little.
Let's use Tasha as an example:
Putting 3 Tashas in a display would make the cloning too obvious. Palette swapping the clones can help hide it a bit, but not completely.
I'm gonna use preexisting parts and the proposed overlays to make "clones".
June:
A Blonde Caucasian repaint of Tasha's face and pink lipstick.
For the body we swap her lower legs for Amber's painting the boots brown with grey pants. Her torso is painted like a black v-neck sleeveless shirt and she's wearing the Unbuttoned vest in grey. The arms would be grey to match her vest. Making it a "long sleeved blue top" that kinda looks like a jumpsuit. For a Ghostbuster trainee, lab assistant, or investigative reporter.
Sasha:
Keep the Melanin, make her hair lavender. Pink lipstock
Her entire body minus her feet, bra, and panties should be flesh toned. Using the new non pleated skirt and yhe new Diamond top, make her outfit. Beige top and Grey skirt.
May:
Lloyd's light brown haircolor, Caucasian. Brown lipstick. For the eyes, Right eye winking. Using the Tasha body. Pink V Neck, Light Blue Blazer and Light blue arms to make the sleeves the Tasha legs make the light blue pants and the shoes are painted pink.
Aisha:
Light Brown hair dark skin, pink lipstick. Eyes are painted closed.
Long sleeve Beige Blazer with white low scoop neck in black with beige non pleated skirt and black tights beige shoes.
Julia:
Brunette, black lipstick, paint the left eye as it's winking. Long sleeved black top similar to Amber's, but this time it's a turtleneck. The bra should be painted Brown. Using Amber's skirt in black, red panties, and Tasha shoes in black.
The brown Bra is to suggest that the sheer top is making her red bra look brown.
Now there's no need to make 5 Tasha clones. That's just 5 possibilities for a single race swapped Tasha Clone. Even Jade could get a clone out, but it's a bit more difficult, due to her hairstyle, but white people with frizzy hair exist.
Perhaps FTC could consider making future heads to be more "Modular", they'd have far more combinations without requiring too many new parts:
You have 5 expressions:
- Excited
- Surprised
- Angry
- Afraid
- Bored
Repeat the previous 5 with sculpted glasses.
If you have 5 hairstyles, that's 50 different heads WITHOUT entering into changing hair color and race. That's like 5 more hair colors without entering into artificially dyed hair colors. and 2 races... based on the FTC Figures skin options. not only that but selling "upgrade packs" for existing figures. Let's use Scowling Karen as an example. The expression pack gives you, Karen with all expressions, and Nerd ly Karen having all expressions while wearing glasses.
This would be far more difficult with the Adult Males due to Facial hair differences. At best only the kids and females could get away with this.
