A while back I said, that this year's Advent Calendar would have a MOTU surprise... well, MOTU styled TMNT Mikey counts, right?
Yeah I got him... because Mikey. That makes him the Second Mikey on the advent Calendar... since Mikey is my favorite turtle, he's here.
But I need to tackle another figure first: Not April. This is Teela who got a Turtle/Zoar inspired upgrade.
Articulation:
This is literally a Teela repaint:
For the sake of fairness I will try to remain as impartial as possible but articulation is one of the things that this figure does pretty good. I may hate the idea, I may hate the way some things are executed, but this figure has a decent range of articulation. I cannot deny that. It has less articulation then I Classics figure but more than a 200X.
Think 200X with elbow, knee, ankle, and wrist hinge articulation. Unlike Classics she does not have less articulation than her male counterparts. I copied and pasted the OG Teela review because it's the same... for the most part.
Then who slip on pieces hinder her articulation a little bit, especially the Vambraces... They pop off if you look at them wrong. The shell shield and her ponytail interfere a little bit with each other, as the shell raises the feathery trim on the back of her neck, which bumps with the ponytail.
3.5
Paint and sculpt:
From the neck down, this is Vanilla Teela with a new paintjob once you remove the weird slip on pieces. My only gripe is that the helmet is not removable... Luckily, Mattel learned from their mistakes and corrected that for Thundercats. Sadly, this is Teela. So undressing her is pointless. She looks nice. But the design feels a little bit too busy and I find the shell shield illogical.
3.5
Accessories:
Teela has:
oversized sword
Shell shield
Removable crotch armor
Removable chest armor
Shredderized Vambraces
Most of her stuff is armor stuff , but it's pointless to remove the armor since she doesn't have a traditional Teela look.
3.0
Overall :
Teela gets a 3.33 as her final score. I have to be honest. She's a little bit disappointing even for an origins figure. I regret wasting $20 on her.
Now let's tackled the guy that my mascot hates the most. The loser that gets to nail April.

Think 200X with elbow, knee, ankle, and wrist hinge articulation. His elbow pad hinders articulation a little bit.

Paint and sculpt:
He is Meh from a sculpt perspective as he's an origins basic body with 2 slip on pieces... 3 forgot the MAA right leg add on. But unlike many of the other releases for this line and specifically the three figures I possess; he's the most creative design. While the body is literally a MOTU oranges body. The color scheme and the added parts make an excellent MOTUFIED Casey Jones. Help the unmasked Casey head sculpt is one of the best Casey Sculpts I've ever seen!
5.0
Accessories:
Casey has a lot
Golf bag/shield
Jitsu gauntlet
Hammer
Katana
Spear
Axe that fuses to his battle hockey stick
Torso armor
MAA leg armor
Ram Man Concept mask.
Personally I would have swapped the katana for a man at arm's mazPersonally, I would have swapped the katana for a man at arm's mace or Mekaneck's
5.0
Overall:
Casey gets a 4.5 despite Mr. Cade's complaints.
Give that Loser a minus 9000!
Nick, this is the House of Rants, MY Domain. Unfortunately, Casey fared better than Teela AND Michelangelo. And now it's Mikey's turn.

This is a MOTUO body with sculpted on armor... with the mega retarded removable shell. The shell is the backbone and ribs of a turtle. I wish we had gotten an actual turtle shell body for the Turtles. Other than that the design is okay.
4.0
Accessories:
Shoulder pads
Armor straps
Shell shield
Loincloth cover
2 nunchucks with plastic chain.
Adam wig.
It's cool that the chain is made out of individual plastic links. The problem is that they're flat and they get stuck.Had they been rounded out what a thing perfect. Sadly.
You cannot strip Mikey out of the masters elements because there is no actual turtle. It's a MOTUO body with TMNT hands and feet.
4.5
Overall
Mikey gets a 4.0 as his final score. He could have scored a higher if battle had given the turtles an actual turtle torso.
If I can get the rest of the turtles at a discount. I'll probably get them but paying full price, nuh-uh! Oh the line is dead... so why bother?
