Advent Calendar 15: This foot stinks

 

It's falling Apart! That's because it's a Battle Damaged Foot Soldier.

You've seen the Foot Soldier and it's GITD Redeco, then you know what to expect.

Paint and Sculpt:

Yes, there are new pieces, but S7 also cheapened out in some damage by making it painted on. The "burn damage" is sloppy and the colors do not match the older Foot Soldiers. 

Not to mention that the heads on the OG Foot Soldiers don't pop. Missed opportunity fron the start.

The alternate heads and Battle damaged hands is where it's at.

There is stuff, but Super7 held back stuff with their dick move subpar pack.

Overall:

Foot Soldier with Battle Damage gets a 4.5 ad its final score. Lack of compatibility with the previous footsoldiers hurts this figure.. Super7 cutting corners despite doing decently also hurt the figure. On the other hand, The Mutatin Foot Soldier head is the best thing from this figure. The Alpha-1 is OK, but it's too toon accurate, yet can't be used on an undamaged Foot Soldier. Not gonna risk heating up OG FS... unless I buy one for that specific purpose and make Alpha-1

Personally though, I would've used the Mutatin Soldier head as a base and assed the torn hood to make a "classicized" Alpha-1. 

Super7 should make Deluxe Foot Soldiers using the neck pegs of the BD FS. Not only it would allow for army building, but justify a new BD FS with new damaged parts:

Hear me out New Torso with removable arms like the Silverhawks, new heads, new BD hands, for the weapons:

Foot Soldier Mace tied up and with bludgeoning damage, battered foot grabber thing with a broken jaw, making it a makeshift spear, New blaster with hole that a Mouser Pack Sai can be shoved down the barrel. 

In addition to this I'D also release a Battle Damage Accessory pack for the Foot Soldiers. (Meant for the Deluxe FS, but some accessories can be used by the Early FS.)

The pack would contain previously existing BD heads, multiple BD Hands, Normal FS hands, Ninja weapons in FS colors.
