I don't think a Thundercats live action movoe would work... for Hollywood. Hollywood has a knack for hating Fantasy movies. Ironically , despite the movie being set on earth, the lack of recognizable earth, would hurt the movie. That's before reaching the Thundercats themselves.
No we ain't getting that... but now that I have the naked cats there... is that fur, skin, how much can we lean into the cat stuff before going full furry.
Will they go original story or 2011 story? 2011 has a more traditional fantasy elements and can be turned into Zootopia of the Rings. The original story is castaway in space...
I fear that IF Hollywood takes Thundercats, they would change it way too much... but we'd have to see how He-Man does...
I'm gonna say it: No Big names for the core cats or Mumm-Ra. In fact the biggest name should be Jaga... and Mumm-Ra should be acted by an unknown, while voiced by a Voice actor. I wanna see Panthro, not Vin Diesel... just to say a name.
