Netflix's Castlevania Nocturne received mixed reviews. Mainly the story being found lacking.
Season 2 is coming in January... seriously, Castlevania screams October release, not January, but whatever. Point is that season 2 is pretty much done, but the production is on a hiatus. Seeing that this is Netflix and they love to cancel shows prematurely, it's almost understandable.
The most educated guess is that Netflix is awaiting for Season 2's reactions to see if there's a third. Sadly, I see a lot of potential for it to go wrong. I hope it doesn't and that season 2 fixes most of Season 1's shortcomings.
