It's far from perfect, but it feels more Spider-Man than even Sam Raimi's movies.
I mean, for the time skip, you see plenty of villains... mostly in a montage. Boomerang, Tombstone, The Hand, references to Silvermane... Does Punisher count?
Spidey has a friend in the Police: Jean DeWolffe who is now a dark skinned Latina. At least Jean Grey is white and redhead...
Yeah. The whole Jean Grey thing is ass. No sir, I do not like it. The hinting towards The Other or Man-Spider felt like it was tacked on but not fully explored.
The best thing about the movie is the fight choreography. Which BTW the director of this will be doing the live action Naruto movie.
This didn't top MOTU, but it will be my second movie of the year.
