Hory shet: This T2 game sounds awesome

James Cameron is weird...
He's been whining about Superhero films lacking substance and being sophomoric, unlike his Furry Ferngully movies... well, James Cameron has a new enemy in sight and his name is wait for it... James Cameron, the director of Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Yes, that'right, James Cameron, the director of the Avaturd movies is attacking James Cameron, the director of Terminator movies for being a gun fetishist. If James Cameron, director of Avaturd, had his chance at directing a Terminator movie, he would downplay the usage of guns or eliminate them altogether.
What the Hell? The Terminator movies don't fetishize the guns! In the first one, the main gunplay came from the villainous Android encased in decaying flesh. On the second one, most of the gunplay came from the Heroic Android encased in decaying flesh and its main purpose was to delay the evil robot made out of liquid metal. A Huge emphasis on Killing Humans is bad. This point is driven hard when we see Sarah Connor, the waitress from the first movie, turned into a cold-blooded would be murderer when she attempts to snipe Miles Dyson. Her demeanor and gun usage used to showcase how Sarah had lost her humanity. If James Cameron, director of Avaturd, should have a beef with someone, it should be with James Cameron, director of Titanic for being a little bitch. The ones that fetishized guns were the ones NOT directed by Cameron.
Yes, James Cameron, Director of Titanic, got butthurt that Mythbusters proved that it was plausible for Jack to survive in the door with Rose. After he had accepted that Jack had to die for plot reasons, he was mad that Mythbusters proved him wrong, so James Cameron's gotten his own crew to make a "scientific study" to prove that James Cameron was right all along. Completely unbiased and not sketchy at all... What's next, Avaturd 3 has their own Fire Nation of Evil Na'vi where the White Man pretending to be Na'vi has to prove his superiority over them? But yeah, we have a Fire Nation of Evil Na'vi...

Mr. Avaturd is now claiming that Terminator Dark Fate sucked because of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
James "Overinflated Ego" Cameron is now blaming Arnold Schwarzenegger for the failure of Terminator Dark Fate. Not because the movie took a massive dump on the franchise by killing John Connor and replacing him with a Mexican Female. Kyle Reese is replaced by a Lesbian coded Cyborg, just to get T2 Sarah playing another Lesbian coded Kyle Reese. Then Arnold gets castrated and plays what Misandrists think the perfect male should be: an asexual creature that bends over backwards to a woman's whims. Also, the movie basically retreads what other "inferior movies" did before and somehow managed to do it better than the one with James Cameron's blessing.

Japan, what are you doing? Japan, stop!
I am well aware that I'm not using the Stahp Meme format correctly, but Japan has taken a finger... a robotic finger and has done the least Japanese thing to it... they gave it a flesh cover. Not an artificial skin like TPE or Silicone, but one made out of collagen and human skin fibroblasts...
Basically, the former Governor of California said: a cybernetic organism covered by living tissue. Japan, that's how you get Terminators, what the hell were you thinking!? I mean, I expected a robotic tentacle monster from you!! Not a Terminator finger! Then again, Arnie-chan is a thing in Japan!

Making a GOOD Terminator movie is IMPOSSIBLE!!
There is a simole explanation for that: The first two movies made the formula stale.
You can do so much with a story about a time traveler going back to the past to stop a killer machine from eliminating a specific person.
T2 gave us the twist of the original killer machine bwing the protector.
Even the movies have a similar formula:
These are the ingredients for a Terminator movie:
Dystopian future scenes, Terminator gets clothed, Encounter with the subject, Vehicle chase, an encounter with Law Enforcement, final showdown at an industrial setting. While not necessarily in that order, but you get tge idea.
Rise of the Machines and DARK Fate copied the exact same formula. The only Terminator movie that actually tried something different was Salvation... but since it was given to a mediocre director the future War got screwed.
By sticking to the formula and the only "original" concept being "Whamen!" Dark Fate sealed its own uh, dark... fate? Of sucking like every Terminator movie after 2...
There is no way to make Terminator interesting enough.
Not even by having Skynet, I mean Legion send Terminators back in time to protect Key people that would create Legion from Present Dani and a possible Human Time traveler taking the role of the Terminator. (And even that idea is a retread of Sarah in T2)
Had James Cameron NOT WASTED his time with Titanic or Avaturd, we could've gotten the Future War we deserved... even if it's pointless, since we know the end: Skynet sends a Terminator to kill Sarah Connor, John sends Kyle Reese, his father, in order to ensure Sarah's survival (and his own conception). Sending the T-1000 and secons T-800 still stumps me.

So Terminator will bring back Linda Hamilton...
The movie will have some passing the torch thing, but still... The Real Sarah Connor is coming back. The aging Arnold is back, but I'm feeling like it's time to follow Prosecutor Sahdmadhi... Let it go and move on.
We already acknowledged Arnold's age in Genisys and we don't need yet another movie explaining the aging bioflesh.
Do we REALLY NEED ANOTHER TERMINATOR? I think I've been saying this for quite some time.

It Came From the Toy Chest: Robert Patrick Edition

After The Governator let it slip that... "He'll be back!" For a Sequel to Genisys... I thought: Nefty! You should do a Terminator Themed Review... So I looked at the pile of Housewarming gifts that I got and the choices were: NECA's Ultimate T-1000 or a Sex Doll...
The choice was Difficult, either I made a review of the one role Robert Patrick CANNOT RUN AWAY FROM, or I made a review about a Doll whose sole purpose is to be a semen receptacle... The choice is REALLY HARD!!
I still haven't figure out how to review the Sex Doll in a SFW manner, so I went with the easier solution: The T-1000.
I guess this is the part where I give the NECA WARNING about their QC and to be Super Duper Extra Careful when Swapping Parts to avoid Breakage.Do I even need to explain who the T-1000 is? No, I shall leave it to a Professional!
Take it away, Arnie!

So let's get cracking!
Articulation:
He has balljointed neck, shoulders, elbows wrist, thighs, knees, and ankles. The only non-balljointed articulation point is the waist.
4.5
Paint and sculpt:
The paintjob is pretty detailed with rivets, buttons and other small accessories painted. Even the metal pin holding a pen on his shirt is painted. Sadly in some areas it can be a bit sloppy. The sculpt is amazing. Robert Patrick's likeness is very well represented in plastic. Even the Battle Damaged pieces look very much like their Movie Counterparts.4.5
Accessories:
5 Hands, 2 Extra Forearms, 1 gun, 1 alternate Torso, 3 Heads and 1 gun. The only thing we're missing is the Glitched legs, head and right arm... But I guess NECA could still do a "Liquid Metal T-10005.0
Overall:
The T-1000 gets a 4.67 as his final score. It's a versatile figure with TONS of Display Potential. I do have one tiny nitpick with the Splitting Headache head. It doesn't fit on the balljoint correctly. I also have an issue with his gun holster, but the figure is so fun that I can ignore said nitpicks. This is a Display piece kind of Toy (due to NECA's recent QC issues). If you can, get a stand. I'm not sure if he'll survive a shelf dive.

Terminator Genysis: Thoughts
2 great movies, 1 crappy movie, 1 WTF movie and a so-so TV series. (It started good but then they lost me.)
Well, I'll post a collection of thoughts... I guess that a Spoiler Warning is to be had... Follow me after the jump! Let's hope this works! There will be spoilers!!

Come with me if you want your Dragons!
The Trailer for Terminator Genisys trailer has come out a few days ago. (I was too busy dealing with Digital River to watch it) Now that I have seen the Trailer posted below, here are my thoughts:
I'll tackle the big issue first: Emilia Clarke. She kinda looks the part, but I can't believe her as a "T2 style badass" Sarah Connor. There is something about her that looks so frail and weak... Like a little puppy that is lost. She almost works as Sarah Connor in The Terminator. I think my main issue is that I still see Emilia Clarke as a 12 year old girl looking for her Dragons
Now, before I go on the next things that bug me about the trailer and the movie, I must point this out.
I WANT TO SEE THIS MOVIE SO BADLY, EVEN IF IT HAS A FEW THINGS THAT RUB ME THE WRONG WAY.
This reboot mucking up the Good Terminator movies, while it seems to erase the bad ones with the new Timeline.
Now Kyle Reese's only job is to put a baby John Connor inside Daenerys Targaryen. The whole protecting Sarah Connor thing has already been done by the Governator!
Any Other Changes will have to wait until my butt is sitting in front of a huge ass screen playing the movie.
The notion of a Days of Future Past style reboot on the Terminator franchise makes sense. The real question is: DO WE NEED a Terminator Reboot?
In any case, we'll find out next summer. BTW, according to IMDB the 11th Doctor is in this...

Come with me if you want to live, Khaleesi
All jokes aside, Emilia Clarke is now Sarah Connor and Old Man Ahnuld is the T-800... Well, the good news is that John Connor will not have my permission to die! No more Bane as Connor... WOOHOO!!
Besides this wouldn't be the first time Emilia Clarke has worked with a Conan...
Speaking of Conan and Game of Thrones people, Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo and the Other Conan) is likely to appear on the Battfleck movie... with Superman and Wonder Twig...
Who will he play? Remember that this movie is a set up to a Justice League Movie. He cannot be a pushover villain like Lex Luthor... Also, who'd dare to shave Khal Drogo's head to make him Lex Luthor. Doomsday could be an interesting choice, but I don't see it... Momoa's already typecast into Barbarian-esque roles, due to his physique... Now which DC Character could benefit from Momoa's "Exotic and Primitive" looks while being far too dangerous for Superman to handle alone?
Something more dangerous than Zod and Ra's al Ghul combined...
VANDAL SAVAGE... That's the only character I can think of. If the movie is going to be the set-up for JLA, having Savage rise to the point that Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman need to gather as many superbeings as possible to stop him is the only way... I mean the other threats to the DCU
would be aliens and we saw Ryan Reynolds beating Parallax on his own, we saw Superman stop the 3 Kryptonians... Darkseid, Starro, Mongul, etc. could be considered a bit too silly (and ripping off The Avengers' plot) to the non-comic book fans. Who else could they do?
Mister Mxyzptlk? Unless he's CGI and voiced by Gilbert Gottfried I don't want a Mister Mxyzptlk in the DCU movies... Besides there's no chance in Hell for that happening due to the Nolan "Realism" bull...

Come with me if you want a soft-Reboot/Sequel!!
I don't know... Do we NEED a new Tuhminator movie?
-Ahnuld is not getting any younger. The Last Terminator movie had to CGI an Arnold for the cameo...
-The movie is meant to have Ahnuld protecting a young Sarah Connor. Now think about that. It contradicts the first movie. If she has met with Ahnuld before, wouldn't this scene be different?
-It simply doesn't make sense to send the same model Over and Over again. As much as I dislike John Cena, he could work as a Terminator... Do we need a 67 Ahnuld saying "I'll be back" or "Come with me if you want to live?"
Hell, I'd say no, we did not need a new Terminator movie after T2: Judgment Day. No T3, no Sarah Connor Chronicles, no T4...
What's next: Commando II: Revenge of John Matrix? OK, jokes aside, Arnold can still do other action movies. I recently saw The Last Stand (forgot I had it) and I have to say that it still works as an action movie with Arnold in a
kind of way. But he should step back from the Terminator movies.

Do we really need Salvation?
The fourth Movie in the Terminator Series. It's like a sequel/reboot of the franchise. (kinda like Star Trek) And the star of this Reboot is none other than Christian Bale!!
That IS Christian Bale in a dog suit... Or his voice over for the new character in the Cats and Dogs sequel...
...
...
...
There is no Cats and Dogs sequel... But Christian Bale's Acting in action movies is pretty much acting like an angry dog. That didn't help me to believe him as John Connor. (and that here we got Christian Bale in another reboot...)
Now that I've got my "Christian Bale is being overused and his Mad dog Barking should stop" rant out of the system let's get on to the movie.
I shall start with a little bit of simple math:
Terminator - James Cameron = EPIC FAIL!
You want Proof?
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Not only does that movie take a dump on the themes of the Previous Terminator films. (There is no fate unless we make it.) Now on the 3rd movie they say that the future is set in stone and there is nothing you can do to change it. You can delay it but it is inevitable. Pretty much saying that You've wasted your time watching Terminator and T2.
That pretty much explains the reaction to fans' complaints about T3:RotM
The only worthwhile scene of T:Salvation. Now you don't have to bother in watching this Terminator: in name only film.
Besides having Christian Bale as John Connor and lacking James Cameron at the Director's chair , I feel that Terminator Salvation failed as a Terminator movie in many ways:
-It didn't feel like a Terminator movie. For a movie set "in the Terminator Future" it didn't look like the "Terminator future". The depressing bluish hues from the "Terminator future" were not there.
-The Humans relied too heavily on machines to fight the machines. (Having airplanes, laptops with internet access clashes with the whole "Skynet took control of the world's entire network as it became self-aware." The Humans were supposed to be in a borderline low-tech mode while battling the machines.
-McG is a Poor man's Michael Bay. See Charlie's Angels and it's Sequel... Besides T:S of course...
-going down to PG-13, the movie HAD to be dumbed down in order to get more butts in the theatre.
Now for the ratings part: 1 = an abomination that came from Uwe Boll and 5 = Masterpiece.
as a movie: 3 It was kinda entertaining If I disassociated it from Terminator.
as a Terminator movie: 0.5 When the highest point in a Terminator movie is a CGI Arnold cameo, you've got some serious problems.
Please don't... unless James Cameron is in the Director's chair... Just stick to Governating...
Yeah! Stick to that... and I shall pray to Crom for the termination of the Terminator movies!
