The Apes of War are giving a lot to talk about. Some are excited about Guerrilla Gorilla, but others are sad that the Sgt. BANANAS figure was "replaced" by GG. I want to believe that Sgt. Bananas is still doable. He'd require a new head, torso*, Shoulder, biceps, and feet. Not to mention accessories.
*= assuming the Jacket is sculpted on the torso and not an overlay.
While it could require some new tooling, the fact that some parts are salvageable for the Sarge is a good thing. (Helping recoup some of those tooling costs.)
Even Machete himself paid respects to Harambe. Getting more Apes on TMNTU is a necessity...
I want to believe the Jacket is a "removable" overlay... like Bebop's. If so, then with guerilla Gorilla we could do a THIRD Ape Warrior.
If so, then picture a shirtless GG, with olive drab pants. A head that looks like a gorilla version of Sylvester Stallone from First Blood part II with a bandana (yellow, because Bananas) same gun, knife, and RPG as GG, but the new accessories are a Bow and Arrow, and a burlap poncho.
Basically Rambo as a gorilla or a Harambo if you prefer something punny.
Seriously, we have Punk Frogs, Mutanimals, why not a troop of Mutant Gorillas.
Not gonna lie, but a 4th Gorilla Venom Snake parody would be funny. Yes, a banana peel would be the "Venom Horn" yes, the Ape should look like a Gorilla Kiefer Sutherland with Venom' Snake's hair. Reusing the torso, shoulders, and biceps of Sarge with a new left cyber forearm and hands. For accessories a gun and the knife for CQC.
Sadly, I don't think that Super7 can make new characters... Yes, I'm trying to hype myself to this wave because it's a bit dull.
