According to a composer at Capcom, Fei long will no longer be a part of Street Fighter due to issues with Bruce Lee's family. Apparently, Lee's family don't want comedic characters resembling Bruce. I don't even know what's comedic about Fei Long... Hell, Fei Long is one of the most respectful Bruce Lee clones in videogames.
The ending is a tribute to the greatness of not only Bruce, but Brandon too...
With that said, this whole issue can be used to revamp Fei Long visually:
Have Fei Long's latest movie be a flop, because of Long's inability of stepping out of The great One's shadow. Now with no new projects due to him being "canceled", Fei Long is on a quest to find himself. To look beyond the persona that tried to "Embody the Great One's Legacy" and find the Real Fei Long. He felt inspired by a quote from the Great One himself.

This quote sends Fei Long on his quest. He will fond his truth in the purest way possible, through Martial Arts. Where will this new journey lead him? I don't know. That would be up to Capcom. There is no need to cancel Fei Long.
Update: Lee's family debunked the Capcom composer.
They have not tried to "Ban Fei Long"... good!
