Saint Seiya is failing, but the delusion is huge

The Movie hasn't reached 1 Million domestically and barely reached 4.5 globally... as of the writing of this rant. Also has had piss poor viewings... even Rotten Tomatoes can't hide the piss poor reception this Bastardization has had.

As of the writing of this rant, Knights of the Zodiac has had less than verified 100 ratings on RT, but more than 50.

Meanwhile, Hypnotic and Book Club: The Next Chapter, which released on the same date as Saint Seiya, have over 100 verified ratings. With Book Club having over 500. Hell, even more critics saw these two over Saint Seiya.

Toei believes that Saint Seiya is worth 6 movies as a package...  but there's more: A LatAm group of Saint Seiya fans contacted the director of this movie, who was questioned about the 60 Million budget, stated:
So, the 60 Million was for MORE THAN 1 MOVIE!? The Best Case Scenario folks are hoping for that meaning that it was 30 Million for this movie and 30 million for the sequel. Others reference the 6 movie Toei quote making each movie with a 10 Million budget.
To put it in perspective: 1991's The Guyver cost 3 Million ( about 6.682 Million today)
This 1991 movie with a lot less budget than Knights of the Zodiac and made about 32 years earlier with crappier sfx with virtually zero backing from Japan somehow managed to make a much better looking and more respectful adaptation than the 60 million dollar, Toei backed Saint Seiya movie.
Even if the 10 Million budget per movie was real, then they wouldn't have been able to film all 6 movies. If they did we would probably have gotten leaks on the actors playing the other Bronze Knights. But let's keep on pretending that it's 10 million per movie.
It would need 20 to break even amd 30 to be profitable... it barely reached 4.5 million
on the Brand's most profitable markets. In Mexico it only made about a million, which is kind of pathetic since Mexico is one of the biggest target audiences for Knights of the Zodiac, and I'm talking bigger than Japan themselves.

To me this whole: the movie didn't cost 60 Million sounds like excuses to hide its failure.
At the original rumor of 60 Million, it would've needed 180 to be profitable. But the way its going now, it looks a bit too hard to get the 20 million to "break even" if the "first one only cost 10". Much less turn profits to guarantee 5 sequels.

The movie is Dragon Ball Evolution levels bad and so-called fans are deluding themselves into thinking that it's good and that it will get lots of sequels... it's highly unlikely.
