The movie was awful... if you wanted something faithful to the comics... if you wanted a good sequel to the Turd in the wind that was the previous Venom, well... you won't get that here.
Cletus Kasady is a moron, not the Hopeless Romantic serial killer that this movie made. They ruined Kasady by mimicking Eddie's relationship to the symbiote, who has problems with Shriek being a Banshee... missing is her mood manipulation ability that brings out the worst in people.
Basically, Eddie now has an Odd Couple relationship with Venom. His relationship with Anne is down the crapper, and the only action the Lethal Protector gets is eating live chickens... and Eddie Brock getting the scoop of the century with Cletus Kasady being obsessed with Brock.
Kasady gets a Venomspawn, Carnage, and he escaped. Venom has to stop him... Venom wins, becomes a fugitive and Boom! Peter Parker cameo, Venom forced his way into the MCU...
They also tease Toxin for V3nom... but the biggest offense that this movie has made is:
You have freaking Carnage and you didn't even use an instrumental arrangement of Carnage Rules can you call yourself a Carnage fan?
