TMNT Cowabunga Collection: First thoughts

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cowabunga Collection is finally here. 13 TMNT Games at the palm of my hand. Sure, I could have all of them via emulation and not pay a penny, but that's not the same. These versions are plussed up versions of the originals. The games have added options/features like save states, rewinds, cheats, no flicker on the OG NES game to name a few.

Despite there being multiple games, I might be able to whip up some reviews rather quickly... like say, the arcade games. Other games might require more time and patience, like say OG NES game or GB3 game.

While "it's not exactly the same" since I'm not playing the games on their proper late 80s/early 90s consoles and gear, not to mention that the references to Pizza Hut have been scrubbed from the NES2 game. The collection KNOWS how to tug the nostalgic heartstrings. Guess I should order Dominos, since their current Pan Pizza tastes similar to Pizza Hut's early 90s Pan Pizza. Current Pizza Hut doesn't taste as great as they did in the early 90s... Yes, I'm aware that Artisanal authentic Italian Pizzas taste a million times better than Domino's or Pizza Hut... Hell, even Chicago's abomination against the Pizza gods is better than Domino's, Pizza Hut, Papa John's, and Little Caesar's. Don't get me started on New York Pizza, which is the second coming of the Pizza gods. Point is that for "big food chain pizza" current Domino's has improved their flavor, while Pizza Hut has lost quality.

Why was I rambling about Pizza again? TMNT and their connection with Pizza, right!
Muscle Memory needs to be relearned and now I'm noticing one of the Switch's shortcomings...
The Joycons are uncomfortable to play these games. A Switch Pro Controller is highly recommended. If you're NOT someone who grew up with these games, or fan of the 1987 TMNT continuity, well, then this collection might not be for you.
