Venom, based on Spider-Man, the animated series... yes, Venom with red and blue highlights is the new Hasbro Pulse Exclusive.
He's in the Omega Red Body, hence the shoulder holes. One little flaw I noticed is that Venom doesn't have his spinnerets panted on the back of his hands. I mean they are on the cartoon.
He comes with an alternte head and hands... for $33...
I feel like he's waaaaaay overpriced... for $33, I'd at least expect:
-Plugable symbiote tendrils for the shoulder holes.
- 2 extra heads: Eddie's head mid transformation and a normal Eddie Brock head.
-Web accessories (reused from Spider-Man)
But, with Venom going Full TAS, I kinda want a TAS INSPIRED Wave:
The past Retro wave was 10 figures (6 in the true wave and 4 individual releases conveniently fitting the theme)
Symbiote Spider-Man
Let us get Spider-Man out of the way. Basically a reuse of the previous Spider-Man body but in black suit colors.
Classic Shocker
A Classic Villain Refreshed in his classic look. Reason why he's here?
I literally chose Symbiote Spider-Man for this.
The Rhino
Mostly the same as the BAF without the shoulder pads or modern head. New feet to match his TAS look and like Gwen Stacy, he comes with an extra head for the Lizard BAF.
Chameleon
Based on his TAS Look. Toss in a JJJ head, a Nick Fury head, and a Peter Parker head.
Doc Ock
Hasbro will hate me for this since they can't reuse chubby Ock here. But TAS THEME demands a TAS Ock. Also, if Hasbro plays it smart with overlays and paintwork, they could reuse this Ock's torso for Luke Carlyle. (Carlyle's backpack plugging to the tentacle ports from Ock and reusing the slim tentacles from Superior Octopus
Mary Jane Hydro Clone
A subtle way to have a TAS MJ. Basically a TAS MJ with translucent blue extra head and hands.
The Spot
This one is a "budget saving figure" that doubles as a new charcter.
Rocket Racer
The teenage body (Miles/Ult Pete) with a few overlays and new forearms and shins could make Rocket Racer a reality.
Daredevil
It's almost a bit of tradition to shove Daredevil stuff with Spider-Man, since Daredevil seems to be unable to hold a wave of his own. The figures should be in maroon plastic with bright red accents mimicking the effect from Venom. Toss in a blond Matt Murdock head and some extra hands... another "repaint to save money" and a different enough version of the character from the previous Red Daredevil.
Peter Parker
The previous Peter Parker we got was comic book based. What I'm suggesting is a TAS Peter Parker (striped polo and jeans)
