TEELA and the Masters of the Universe Revelation: Trailer 2

I'm still hoping it won't suck, but the trailer is giving credibility to the rumors.

Here's the trailer. Will attempt to dissect it and share my thoughts ON THE TRAILER since the show hasn't been released yet. I need to point this out because I seem to have attracted a bunch of idiots who can't understand reacting to a First Look or trailer is NOT reacting to the show itself... This is a reaction TO THE SECOND TRAILER "TEELA IS MAN-AT-ARMS" AND NOT THE SHOW, BECAUSE THIS WAS WRITTEN BETWEEN JULY 2ND AND JULY 3RD... NOT AFTER THE 23RD OF JULY 2021.

We have Sorceress explaining that Eternia minus magic equals end of the universe. Damn, the stakes are super high AND He-Man is fueled by Magic, what does this mean?
(Insert I have a bad feeling about this clip here)
Buffy rambles about her being against magic and being tasked to save magic... That KINDA COMES WITH BEING A DEFENDER OF ETERNIA.

Stinkor shows up and gets his ass kicked. Teela reveals her Gary Oldman lesbian hairstyle... it's not homophobic to point out that Gary Oldman's 5th Element hairstyle is popular amongst lesbians. But that hairstyle is as cliché as "butch" lesbians dressing like lumberjacks.
He-Man or Adam is rambling about having to do something to stop the death of the universe, followed by a possibly unrelated scene of him screaming and running.

We then see some water plants? attacking some cultists dressed like Horde Wraiths...
(Insert Morir es vivir clip here)
Pope Tri-Klops looks angry.
We see He-Man on the dark hemisphere facing Skelcons and Hover Robots.
What in the actual fuck is this?
King Grayskull, He-Ro, Vikor, and an Adam looking like a Blood of Zeus character are all together in the same screenshot!? I sense the Neitlichian stench permeating...

Teela gets the Revelation that the sword was split in half... I can almost hear the Mattel execs masturbating furiously as they scream "buy the toys" all the way to an orgasm.
We see a few clips of Duncan and Pope Tri-Klops on a Roton before cutting to Cringer making an epic speech about saving Eternia, whether you serve Grayskull or Snake Mountain... I can see the Mattel execs reaching for their groins once again...
(Insert it's time to stop clip here)
We have a clip of Teela coming face to face to "He-Man". I put it in quotation marks because we all know it's Faker.
"Being a hero swallows you whole" as a clip of Teela falling into a hole is shown... really clever... said the blogger as he rolled his eyes so hard that he could see his insides.

Oh no... I can see the rumor mill going on how Andra is looking at Teela lovingly as she says she's willing to risk herself to the (w)hole and the swallowing. Lesbian Teela and Andra confirmed!
Again, to the idiots that read this to say I'm all the -ists and -phobes, I'm MOCKING the rumors.  While, yes, I AM a bit worried about He-Man not being the focus of a MOTU show; I still haven't reached the KEVIN SMITH YOU FUCKED UP outrage yet. I hope I don't, but the fear is there.

We see the heroes battling merpeople. Roboto's fighting Zombies!? He-Man and Teela fighting Whiplash before he became a cyborg. Gary Oldman Teela fighting cultists and wait, Spikor was Skeletor in disguise!? More battle clips and a huge ass Shadowbeast some strange smoke hitting Scareglow... is it Stinkor? Gary Oldman Teela mirroring the Fastball Special with Adam that He-Man and Teela did a while back but with reversed roles. Nevermind, it wasn't Stinkor, it was Teela beating Scareglow. Then we have Teela leading the charge with Fisto and Clamp Champ... then we have Adam to He-Man transformation that is VERY SAILOR MOONY...

My thoughts:
It looks good but there are a few things I don't like:
-Gary Oldman lesbian hairstyle from The 5th Element on Teela. Are they implying that Teela is a lesbian now? (MOST MOTU continuities have shown Teela having feelings for Adam and viceversa. In some She becomes Queen of Eternia AND Sorceress of Grayskull.) A
Or, are they implying that the haircut is because of her tomboyish demeanor. Which again, is extremely clichéd. "Tough woman must look more masculine because a more feminine looking woman can't be tough" dumb logic.

-Race swapping Andra. I don't mind adding a Female of Color to the team. My issue is taking the existing character of Andra and reskinning her for Artificial Diversity. Had this character been named, say Amanda, I wouldn't have any issues with her being added. I'd probably say: "They also added a new character to slightly reduce the sausagefest and the aryanness of MOTU... Had they made Clamp Champ "Asian", I would've comolained as well... I don't like race swapping existing characters. Period

-The lack of Adam/He-Man. This is the big one... colloquially speaking the toyline is known as He-man. The biggest MOTU site and creators of Power-Con is called He-Man dot org. 4 out of the 5 MOTU series have He-Man in their name...
1983, 2002, and 202X CGI series are all called He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. The other series is The New Adventures of He-Man.
Only Revelation is the one lacking He-Man in the title and based on the trailer, seems like he's not that much in the series... Based on the trailer, not the cartoon, since it hasn't aired yet... (at the time of this being written) it looks like Adam losing the power of Grayskull is the B-storyline to Teela becoming the MAN-AT-ARMS we need and deserve being the A-Storyline. Because I know the "You Hate strong women" BS is coming, let me stop you right there. I don't have an issue with exploring Teela's journey after discovering that everyone betrayed her and kept ALL THE TRUTHS hidden from her. Her father KNEW about her mother being alive AND the freaking Sorceress of Grayskull. Her Best friend and her crush being ONE AND THE SAME. Her father also KNEW THIS... Hell, even the floating blue turd (Orko) KNEW the secrets being kept from Teela. My issue is that it takes more importance than Adam being forced to deal with the aftermath of  being exposed as He-man after he loses the power. Adam being forced to become the leader he is MEANT TO BE without the Fabulous Secret Powers. In a MOTU series, Teela's journey should never be more important than Adam's.
I'm not saying that focusing on Teela is inherently bad. The show is probably good, but IF TEELA IS the main focus, then, it better be one hell of a story with Adam regaining his powers in the end to finally beat Skeletor. Otherwise it'll feel like they nerfed He-Man to lift up Teela. Unlike She-Ra, where ALL THE RED FLAGS POPPED UP ASAP, here I only have 1 and it's the whole TEELA SHOW angle... I want to be horribly wrong, but I still remember that Kevin Smith Spider-Man and Black Cat mini series The Evil that men do... and I saw the Jay and Silent Bob reboot... I guess we'll have our Revelation in 20 days...

Also metal needs to make a Pope Tri-Klops ASAP
