Could a Metal Gear Solid Line work?

The closest to an actual Toyline we got was the bizarrely articulated McFarlane figures from 1998-1999... I've already mentioned that making true to scale Metal Gear Well Metal Gears would be impractical due to their size. But the question is: taking the 3rd Metal Gear Game, the first game of the Metal Gear Solid saga... the Shadow Moses Incident, could an entire toyline be made about it? Let's find out.

I'm going to pretend that Hasbro is the one with the license for the sake of this theoretical line, since they have GI Joe and some parts could be borrowed from the Joe line to ease the making off the MGS line.

First we have the 4 types of Genome Soldiers. Which are Army Builders. Do these we have to add the stealth camouflage variant of the heavy armor genome Soldier, the Female Genome Soldier (aka Meryl in disguise), the Johnny Sasaki variant (adding a diarrhea streak on the back of his pants would help differentiate him from normal soldiers) speaking of Johnny Sasaki, we need the Boxers KO'd Sasaki...

So let's see what we have so far:
-4 versions of the Generic Genome Soldiers
-1 translucent redeco of the heavy armor soldiers
-1 unique character (Sasaki) who is a slight repaint of the light infantry soldier and some different accessories.

We got 6 figures out of the generics, that can be used to pad out waves.

Let's make Genome Soldier disguise Meryl and KO'D stripped Sasaki a two pack.

Let's tackle the Codec only people:
Campbell
Mei Ling
Nastasha Romanenko
Naomi
Jim Houseman

That's 6 characters that can pad out waves or be put on multi-packs like I did with GSD Meryl and stripped Sasaki.

Let's tackle Foxhound
Liquid Snake
Revolver Ocelot
Sniper Wolf
Vulcan Raven
Psycho Mantis
Decoy Octopus

We can get variants out of these guys up the wazoo...
First the Trenchcoat group photo 6 pack:

This would be the only way to get a non-disguised Decoy Octopus, plus a trenchcoat for Mantis and Sniper Wolf, because it seems Raven is NOT wearing a trenchcoat.

Liquid needs 2 more variants
-Without coat as on his final fight
-Miller disguise

Sniper Wolf requires 2 more variants based on her 2 encounters
-indoor sniper battle
-snowfield sniper battle

Vulcan Raven only requires his Gattling gun and reuse the figure from the six pack.

Mantis has 2 additional versions:
-Visible
-Stealth Camo

Ocelot needs 1 more new version, the other would be a redeco of trenchcoat Ocelot with extra accessories.
-No coat without his right hand.

With Foxhound we have 9-10 figures if we have a trenchcoat Liquid outaide the boxset.

The Hostages:
Kenneth Baker
Donald Anderson
Hal Emmerich, aka Otacon

Baker and Anderson don't need variants, a second head shall suffice... in Anderson's case a third "Dead and drained" head is a nice extra but not mandatory.

Otacon needs two variants in addition to his normal version
-stealth camo
-winter coat

We have 5 figures out of the Hostages with Otacon having variants.

We still haven't touched Solid Snake and Grey Fox... we kinda touched Meryl, but not enough... not in that way you perv!
Meryl has 4 more variants aside the Genome Soldier Disguise:
-Normal Meryl
-Sneaking Suit Meryl (as seen in MGS Integral and Twin Snakes)
-Panties Meryl (it's necessary for plot reasons, no, I don't mean plot as in the pervy definition... and perfect for a 2 pack with Snake)
-Meryl ending version with removable vest and bandaged gunshot wounds from the Wolf indoor battle.
Panties Meryl might not make it to retail and become a "theoretical Haslab exclusive" if we're lucky.

Gray Fox has 3 versions:
-Normal colors
-"Deadpool" colors
-stealth camo redeco

Now we have the man, the myth, the legend, SOLID SNAKE...
Let's start with standard sneaking suit
-Stealth camo redeco
-Shirtless sneaking suit
-Tuxedo Snake (with extra infinity Bandana head)
-Stealth Camo redeco
-Briefing Snake (Snake in his boxers with long partially bleached out hair. Easily made by using the KO'D stripped Sasaki body with a repaint if Liquid Snake's head)
-Underwater infiltration Snake (diving vest, mask, and flippers)

I didn't add a Shirtless tuxedo Snake since the game uses the Sneaking Suit shirtless model.

We got 7 Solid Snake figures...

That's roughly 48 figures not counting animals.
I know that some could be "cut off" but that's the most complete MGS line-up.

But let me accommodate some figures in multi packs:
I already mentioned:
-GSD Meryl vs Stripped Johnny
-Foxhound briefing file 6 pack

To these I'll add:
Briefing Mission 3 pack:
Campell, Naomi, and Briefing Snake

Codec 3 pack:
Natasha, Mei Ling, and Jim Houseman
This set would include a display to recreate the Codec and all the frecquencies used in game. The display would have 2 tinted green window where you can stand characters behind it to "recreate the codec calls"

Contacting Meryl 2 pack
Panties Meryl and Stealth version of Tuxedo Snake.

Meryl Ending 2 pack
Meryl Ending Meryl with Sneaking suit Snake with a new pair of  hands that are grasping the infinity bandana and Stealth camo accessories

Otacon Ending 2 pack
Winter coat Otacon with Tuxedo Snake with extra hands grasping the Stealth Camo and infinity Bandana accessories.

Interrogation 2 pack
Ocelot without right hand and Shirtless Snake with the interrogation machine.

About accessories:
Hasbro wouldn't be able to drop a ton of accessories per figure. Especially Solid Snake... but there is a solution:
Putting Snake weapons and items on other characters.

Snake comes with the SOCOM and FAMAS
Extra head with the infinity bandana on
Extra hands to hold grenades, C4, mines, key cards, and rations.

Meryl would come with the PAL Key and a ration.
Vulcan Raven would come with Claymore mines and grenades
Gray Fox would come with chaff grenades and stun grenades
The Genome Soldiers would come with C4 that can be plugged to their backs
Sniper Wolf snowfield version would come with the Nikita Launcher
Trenchcoat Liquid would come with the Stinger
Indoor battle Sniper Wolf comes with an additional PSG-1 for Snake.

Additionally other characters could come with "mini diorama pieces" let me correct myself. It's not so much a true diorama, but a little piece of wall in order to have A SURVEILLANCE CAMERA!?

The idea is that the charactwrs would come with plot related accessories. Based on the game's narrative. Of course the only accessory that we would not officially get is the cigarettes... for obvious reasons, but that's the most extensive Metal Gear Solid lineup...
Wait I forgot the 18 inch Genola.

MGS2 has its own large lineup between the Tanker and Big Shell chapters, not to mention the multiple army builders and excessive variants... Nude Raiden ftw! or wtf?
