The ORIGINS Eternia towers is $550... Not MOTUC, not Masterverse, but the 5½" Origins figures. A playset that was $80 in the 1980s and based on inflation it would be $210 today.

This video has the measurements of the vintage playset... about 36" in height and 48" wide taking the tram track... now if we convert inches to feet we get: 4' wide and 3' tall...What the Actual Fuck!? It's literally the same size... I know I mentioned this before, but getting confirmation that Mattel is overcharging for an item in a line with a mass retail release is a different kind of bullshit. This scam is testing the waters on how much fans are willing to overpay.
If this set was 46" tall and 61" wide, then the price would've been close to reasonable. Those numbers are what a MOTUC scale Eternia Towers should measure btw. But for a Vintage sized playset, that is smaller than MOTUC Snake Mountain, the price should be a lot lower. (Tracks pad out about 5 inches in overall width, so don't be fooled by its "size".)
Backing this is allowing Mattel to do some Massive Price Gouging and that is never good for the customers.
This is not OK. I'm not going to say: "Don't preorder this overpriced set" but Don't preorder this overpriced set... unless it's fulfilling the desires of a dead family member. Honestly there is no real reason of getting this overpriced redo of the vintage set. There isn't even the excuse of it being for a new line in a new scale.
This and the Haslab Ghost Driver are just examples of companies getting way too greedy for their own good. Folks backing these are almost as damaging to the community as Scalpers.
