Snyderverse is dead, MOVE ON!!!

It's time to face reality, Snydercult... The Snyderverse is dead. Blame WB all you want, but as the owners of DC, they can decide what to do with the characters. Despite WB mismanaging DC stuff FOR AGES!! Your beloved Zack Snyder was not the best choice to helm the DCEU. In fact, SNYDER WAS A KEY REASON WHY THE DCEU FAILED.

I could talk how Snyder's Randian views and objectivist leanings polluted the DCEU and turning the heroes into bleak, selfish douchebags. I could mention how the pseudo grounded style that Snyder used makes no sense whatsoever.

Man of Steel being the root of the universe is flawed. We have a literal alien invasion threatening to destroy the Earth and these so-called heroes did ABSOLUTELY JACK SHIT ABOUT IT!?
Aquaman can claim he doesn't "care about Alantis or the people of Earth all he wants, but those Kryptonians were going to destroy the Icelandic village where the men buy him alcohol and the women smell his clothes.
My God, what a dick!! Zack Snyder's heroes: Letting people die, because fuck it, I don't care!

How about Diana? Wandering the world of Man since WWI and still not giving a shit whether her home Themyscira is destroyed... Her mother, her fellow Amazons... What a cunt!! I kind of understand why Batman would stay out of it. But still, those Evil Aliens are making orphans left and right. (Insert a joke of Batsy getting an overstock of Robins here.) One of the reasons Batman fights evil is to prevent others to suffer the same fate as he did...  funny thing is that Snyder ALMOST figured that one out (most likely by accident) but in pure Snyder fashion he ends up ruining it with Batman's murderboner and single-tracked mind that prevented him to USE HIS ALLEGEDLY INTELLIGENT MIND WORTHY OF THE TITLE "WORLD'S GREATEST DETECTIVE" AND FIND A PRAGMATIC METHOD TO "STOP SUPERMAN  FROM BECOMING EVIL"... Nope. Snyder's "jenius" decided that killing Superman was Batman's only option.

Not counting Cyborg, since he happens Post-MOS and then there's the whole Motherbox can of worms that I don't want to go into. Barry is another questionable one. We don't know exactly when he got his powers... but we have the BIGGEST DICK OF THEM ALL:
Martian Manhunter, did JACK SHIT TO DEFEND HIS NEW HOME... Not only he did NOTHING when the Kryptonians came, he slept through Doomsday, and was playing Martha Kent when the whole Steppenwolf and the Motherboxes shenanigans.
At least Shazam gets a pass for getting his powers after the Steppenwolf BS.

It doesn't make sense to have a World level threat and no one shows up, but Lex Luthor, a guy who is Batman Level threat needed both Batman AND Wonder Woman to stop. I know TNMShrek was a threat, but it's all part of Luthor's NONSENSICAL PLAN. Speaking of Nonsensical plans... or in this case NON-EXISTENT Plans, it was obvious that the idea to build a Universe WAS NOT PART OF MOS... despite people behind MOS claiming the contrary.

So we have a shaky base, then BvS did NOTHING to help the budding DCEU... let's remember that this is still on Zack Snyder's hands.
Superman is dead, Batman and Wonder Woman have to pick up the slack... and Superman was still hated due to the Zod thing. At least Patty Jenkins was able to clean up Wonder Woman's image with the Wonder Woman movie.

But, trpuble was afoot... Zack Snyder's grimdark objectivist version of the DC Universe was hitting Warner Brothers where it hurt:

Merchandising... WB ran into the same problem many moons back with Tim Burton and Batman.

Hard to sell those happy meals and toys with this horrifying flick...

Before you say anything about my "argument helping Snyder" shut the hell up!
Studio interference in Big tent pole films is not a secret. Fox did it Warner Does it hell even Disney does it from time to time. (See Avengers: Age of Ultron) Also, WB tends to be paranoid with DC stuff in order to avoid another Batman Returns incident... Honestly, I'm surprised they didn't pull the plug earlier.  WB kept insisting on lightening the tone, that the movies shouldn't be dark, but Zack kept going darker. The problem with Snyder is that he doesn't understand balance. You need moments of levity in order to digest the deeper and darker moments.  A brooding Batman makes sense because he IS Batman. A brooding Superman is all wrong. Yes, I'm aware of the J. Michael Straczynski comic series... Superman Earth One... on the other hand I tend to take the opinions of the guy who made Sins Past and One More Day and ignore them completely. Superman is NOT a character who broods and wallows in misery. He's a guy who does what's right BECAUSE IT'S THE RIGHT THING TO DO.
Saving kittens, helping old ladies cross the street, stop planes from crashing.

This types of scenes are what make Superman great. All his powers and he chooses to help a little girl with the simplest of tasks. He doesn't act like a god, an alien, or a superhuman being. He is a friend. A helpful friend who lends a hand when we're in need.

But that's the problem with Zack Snyder. He operates on "WHAT LOOKS COOL" instead of "WHAT MAKES SENSE FOR THE STORY".  With Superman, he loves to focus on his strength and powers, but not on what makes Superman, well, super... his kindness, gentleness, friendliness.

Let's take the ending of Man of Steel, where Superman launches the drone to land in front of the General's vehicle. (The General being Martian Manhunter in disguise, who had done Jack Shit to stop the Kryptonians from destroying Earth.) Superman promises he's not a threat in a mildly standoff-ish way and abruptly leaves.

A more accurate take on Superman would have had Supes descending while carrying the drone and gently placing it in front of the general. They'd have a similar conversation and Superman would gently float up before hitting supersonic flight.

Snyder's version surely looks cooler, but the problem is that the focus is on being cool and not on Superman giving the government a friendly reminder that he is NOT an enemy. For all intents and purposes, Superman shot down a $12 Million drone and threatened a General. Tossing the drone "at the General's feet" can be construed as a threat.  This was more apparent in Justice League. The slow-motion, the posing, the unnecessary scenes. Heck! Even scenes used in both the theatrical release and Snydercut have differences between the amount of viole ce and collateral damage between them.

But the biggest impact against the Snyderverse:
Box office.

Man of Steel $225 Million budget: $668 Million Box Office... which is not bad, when compared to Superman Returns whose budget was $204 Million and only made $391 Million at the box office. Then we have Batman v Superman whose $250 Million budget brought back
$872 Million Box office. It's not bad but, for a movie with DC'S BIG THREE, IT UNDERPERFORMED BIG TIME.
Dark Knight Rises, with Bale's shitty Batman and Facehugger Bane had a budget of $250 Million and made $1.081 BILLION...
Wonder Woman (who had a lesser amount of input from Snyder) had a $120-150 Million budget made $822 Million at the Box office, while Aquaman
Had a budget od $160-200 Million and made $1.48  BILLION at the box office with MINIMAL INVOLVEMENT FROM SNYDER.
The movies that have the least amount of Snyder fared better than the ones that Snyder was in control.
Hell, even Justice League performed poorly...
Before you mention the Whedon reshoots and theatrical release "flopping" remember one thing: The $300 Million... sorry $370 Million budget that this movie had and it made $657 at the Box office flopped for a single reason:
Zack Snyder... the one that spent $275 Million and then an additional $70 Million. Then add that WW84, GODZILLA VS KONG, Mortal Kombat fared better than ZSJL at HBO Max.

You can argue that WB has mismanaged DC stuff, I agree. But you will disagree with me that Zack Snyder is part of those mismanagement antics.

It's time to move on.

Update:

Yeah, not a smart move, there.  You can't attack the hand that feeds you and expect them to be happy with you...
