TMNT redeco strategy... is it good?

The 2 most recent TMNT Ultimates waves have had a redeco figure, Silver Armor shredder and flocked Splinter. We know that SOME Figures are perfect for redecos, but not ALL can get the redeco treatment.
Sure, the turtles can get the brown pad redeco treatment, April can have one of the 2 main repaints she had in the toyline (orange and blue accents, or the green jumpsuit) that's not counting the April II with new sclupt or the other variants... But who CAN get Redecos? Let's look at the existing Super7 releases to find out:
I will NOT be doing Turtle Variants or vanilla Turtles. This means no Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, or Michelangelo redecos on this list. I should exclude Splinter and Shredder from the list since they got redecos.

Wave 1: (minus Splinter and Raphael)
Foot Soldier:
He doesn't need a redeco. A rerelease is more appropriate. If we want to make him different, use different weapons. I've said this way too many times already.

Baxter Stockman:
The only redeco I can possibly think of is making African-American Fly Baxter. Paint his hair black and make his Caucasian features more African-American...

Wave 2: (Minus Leonardo and Shredder)
Bebop:
I have mentioned already that Toon colors would be the obvious choice.
Mutagen Man:
I can't seem to be able to produce a redeco that makes sense. Other than Translucent green plastic organ holding tube, there's no logical variation for him.

Wave 3: (Minus Michelangelo)
Metalhead:
Metalheadizing a turtle doesn't count... there are no logical redecos for him. You could change the light piping and colors for the other head, but that's it...

Rocksteady:
As with Bebop a Toon repaint is obvious. If S7 wanted, they could add a helmetless head as an incentive.

April:
She has multiple possibilities for repaints. I already mentioned the toy based repaints. But there are other repaints that they could consider.

Wave 4: (Minus Donatello)
Casey Jones:
Brown Golf bag second unmasked head INSPIRED BY THE VINTAGE PROTOTYPE. maybe repainting his outfit in Red top, blue pants, and black shoes.

Mondo Gecko:
This one is tough. He has no real variations that are logical or canonical.

Muckman:
He suffers from the same issue as Mondo Gecko. But they released the only logical variant... maybe they should redo GITD Muckman but with Green GITD Plastic AND paint the non-sludge stuff.

Wave 5: (No Sewer Samurai Leo)
Leatherhead:
There is no easy redeco variant for him. Perhaps a Toon inspired redeco? It wouldn't be 100% accurate because of the pants and vest.

Krang:
Lighter Toon pink instead of the toy's Pepto pink and Gunmetal walker MIGHT be logical.

Ray Fillet:
There are PLENTY of toy redecos to pick. Thermochromic painf would be a nice start.

Wave 6: ( Minus Sewer Surfing Mike)

Mousers:
I'm not sure if a redeco should be made. Personally, a 2.0 with different accessories would be the better option.

Slash:
The Archie Comics repaint in Donatello Brown could work for him or a Toon inspired repaint with a much greener skin and Grey bandana...
I'd probably buy both repaints to make my Neftyverse slash clones.

Ace Duck:
Aside a Darker Jacket variant, there's no real angle for an Ace Duck variant.

Scratch:
Modern Orange and White prison outfit.

Wave 7: (Minus Punker Donatello and MHMike)
Triceraton:
You can paint the Triceraton in different skin colors. If a new piece is allowed, a new head to differentiate this one from the first one would be nicer.

Guerilla Gorilla:
It's really hard to think of a repaint for him pther than changing the camo for different combat location.

Robotic Bebop:
The vintage toy's variant was differently colored weapons. That won't fly here.
Golden Armor might be a reasonable solution.

Wave 8: (Minus Space Cadet Raph and Shredder)
Robotic Rocksteady:
Like Bebop, the only solution is Golden armor.

Genghis Frog:
Any repaint that facilitates the making of a Custom Attila and Rasputin is welcome in my book... that is assuming Attila and Rasputin being locked out of the lineup for "reasons".

Wave 9: (minus Splinter and Slam Dunk Donatello)

Zak:
Super7 already made their Zak a hybrid of both Vintage Zak figures. There is no need to make a redeco figure.

Scumbug:
Honestly, he's another figure who doesn't have a logical repaint.

Wingnut and Screwloose:
Obvious repaint is obvious.  Black and grey for Wingnut and for Screwloose a Nightwing inspired outfit repaint.

Not all figures lend themselves for repaints. The ones that do wear a lot easier to figure possible combinations. The ones that didn't well I tried but not all of them could get a repaint out of them.  Super7 might need to find a way to either make "legit logical variants" or ask Nickelodeon to go beyond the vintage line.
