Seems like Wave 3 is shipping soon. Some of the people who have ordered through third party sites like BBTS or Entertainment Earth have received theirs. While I finish taking some pictures for the GI Joe classified reviews and wait for the wave 3 Turtles toys to arrive, I'm making a list... don't say checking it twice, cause I'm not Santa!
What we know:
-Wave must contain 1 Turtle. So, this slot is obligatory.
-1 item must be odd or freaky in order to get a most likely GITD or "special" redeco.
Wave 1 had Baxter, Wave 2 Has Mutagen Man, Wave 3 seems to be Metalhead and Wave 4 has Muckman. Willing to bet that Wave 5 is Krang.
-Waves don't need to be 2 villains and 2 heroes.
-Usagi and Panda Khan may not be made yet, due to legal red tape involving those two guest characters.
-other characters who had variants are fair game unless the variant has some rights issue ie: Star Trek TMNT.
With that in mind, let's build 3 Possible waves:
Why 3? Because 3 Turtles in disguise from the same wave as Leo the Sewer Samurai are missing. Also I will try to have deadliest bee with no variants other than the mandatory Turtle variant. So no Mutatin' Shredder, Splinter, or Foot Soldier here. Sadly this puts Super Shredder and Krang's Android body on hold.
Ikuze! (Cause they're ninjas and ninjas are Japanese)
Undercover Don:
Mandatory turtle is Mandatory. I've always felt like this should've been Raph, and Don should've been the Astronaut.
Rat King:
After getting the NECA one, I can't begin to imagine how awesome an updated toy vwrsion would look. Hopefully they'll give him Extra rats.
Fugitoid
This one is a Mirage Comic character who has appeared in various iterations. For some reason the toy is gold and black. Silver and glossy grey variant with GITD accents would make for a nice special S7 Redeco.
Groundchuck
If a Big Guy is needed, then look no further than Groundchuck... Big-ass Cyber Bull would be an imposing figure.
Space Cadet Raph:
This should've been Donatello, but what's done is done. He's the mandatory Turtle of the wave.
Tokka:
Big bad Turtle that reuses parts from Slash? Sure! It's a nice curveball. Now imagine that Tokka was made Bebop sized...
Pizzaface:
Mandatory Oddity figure, thy name is Pizzaface. Curious how the leg swapping gimmick will work.
Chrome Dome:
Thenlast figure is Chrome Dome. Mostly because it's the only one that can get a GITD redeco in this theoretical wave.
Sewer surfin' Mike:
Again, Mandatory Turtle is Mandatory.
Sgt. Bananas
Big Ape dressed as a soldier. Seems like this guy should be pretty high on Super7's list... I don't care about him, but I can see why B-Flynn would push for him. Perhaps a Banana scented variant?
Hothead:
It's a big ass dragon with a mekaneck gimmick...
Did I say it's a big ass Dragon?
Scratch:
Infamous for being among the lowest produced figures and hardest to find. Also its design is a big pun.
I know many of these choices are "out there" but we wouldn't see BOTH Tokka and Rahzar on the same wave. Same with Groundchuck and Dirtbag. Also, sonce we had Tokka as an option Slash was automatically eliminated.
I also limited myself to 3 theoretical waves so options that didn't make it to the list could still happen. Ace Duck, a Punk Frog, Mona Lisa, Traag, Scumbug, Wingnut, Burne, Vernon, Irma, etc. Could still be a curveball option.
I tried to pick what would make most sense as a wave and not necessarily what *I* wanted...
Otherwise the wave would've been Rat King, Tokka, Rahzar. Then next wave would've been Traag, Krang's Android body and Super Shredder (which would complete the TMNT TiT roster) but seriously I need Irma, Vernon and Burne now...
